I too don't mind paying tax for things that help people, local stuff which is receiving less & less from the gov but still needs funding etc but confess I do resent paying to fund the rich to get richer. I am looking forward to seeing how many doctors etc they actually encourage to come out of retirement (zero I expect). Once someone has retired & realised that what they have is plenty why on earth would they. It may stop a few from going but when they make their life more difficult all the time & play the blame game too then why would they stay. So basically we are just funding their pals, so nothing new there then.

Oh no! I hope he turns up safe and well soon. Such an awful feeling when that happens - thinking of you.
Have you tried putting food and litter tray outside - smells to tempt him/guide him home? If you're a member Nextdoor or local Facebook groups for lost and found/lost pets may help.
We will be keeping fingers and paws crossed that he is back home soon. xMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Fingers crossed for Soot's safe return. Once one of my cats disappeared all weekend - a proper home cat who barely went outside. We were frantic and had posters up and leaflets through the doors. She showed up starving and exhausted on the Monday and is currently sleeping on my lap. She had been locked inside a neighbours house when they went away for the weekend. The cheeky blighter next door didn't even come to tell me, just moaned about the mess she had made next time he ran into me 🙄. The moral of the story though is they do most times show up fine.Live the good life where you have been planted.
