Morning @Four_Seasons - My weekend will start later today after I've been for my hospital appointment for the camera procedure. Am currently sitting out on our coffee bench knitting to keep my mind occupied.

Hope today goes well. Don't worry too much about the actual procedure with the camera. I've had it both ends & it wasn't as bad as I thought. KA4

Thanks all you lovely people. I am back home with toast & coffee but there was a problem. Consultant endoscopist refused to do my procedure because he said the condition for which I was referred is too high risk until more time has elapsed since my CT scan when the problem was diagnosed. I explained that my illness happened at the end of March but I had originally been seen by Gynae. This other (probably the cause of everything else) condition was only picked up at the scan, but happened much earlier. So a wasted morning & was a bit tearful tbh as had psyched myself up for it, done all the consent forms & even had the damned enema!! I am very assertive & explained clearly, inc that I had only spoken to the surgical consultant this Weds & he had referred me for the procedure with full knowledge that my illness happened back in Spring & that we are now looking for & dealing with the cause of it. So I got dressed, thanked the nurses who were lovely & swept out of the department.
Money saving wins: None
Not money saving: £4.50 hospital car park fee paid for nothing.
Stopped at C**p on way home for compensatory beer for Mr F, who insisted on giving up his Saturday morning to come with me.
Deciding to order a takeaway pizza tonight & have film night on the sofa.
Having to buy more cat food because the quite expensive brand we bought last week seems to make Soot sick. So we are back to the persian queen variety.
Sorry to moan, but I had psyched myself up & am.properly p*ssed off. I do understand though that this morning's consultant was concerned that I didn't meet the risk assessment & was worried about my safety. I think the two depts are now going to talk to one another to agree on a way forward.
Bah to everything! (But I think I will rally as the day goes on)
