Forgive me Lord for I have sinned. Intake of inebriating fluids made me a bad boy. They made me do it! I shall repent by drinking tepid water.

Yes, I had a drink yesterday with a whole bundle of assorted musicians for my birthday do. I didn't have too much, but it wasn't an AFD so no gold star for March! 

Back on track today so 5/30 please!

5/28 to include today please cathybird-week 8 couch 2 5k run later.

I shared a bottle of fizz on Friday with my step mum as she and dad had called round. I would have usually opened another but step mum didn't want anymore so I resisted. Attended 10am sat gym class so double win! 
Declined a sat night invite and had an early night. Another non red wine sunday too!

Happy birthday to me (and dustydigger's DS😊). 

I'm not declaring yet because I may have a drink later. I'm fine with that and tomorrow will continue with my, for all intents and purposes, sober life. However, it set me thinking 🤔. Why when we know we will enjoy the food and company just as much (probably more) without alcohol do we feel that our birthday celebration is somehow incomplete without it? I have been to wedding and funeral receptions, nights out with friends, parties and other social occasions without giving it much thought, I don't customarily drink these days. Today however I'm umming and ah-ing "will I, won't I?". If I don't it will be my first dry birthday for 50 years 😲.
Anyway enough of my wittering, have a good day everyone. X
