As a MSE Forum newbie, just wanted to drop in and say congrats to everyone on this challenge! Take it from me: you’re doing the best thing for your wallet, your body, and your mental health.
I gave up drinking regularly years ago. I don’t think I would be in the good place I’m in now if I didn’t. I still have the odd glass of wine now and again (maybe one a month), but it’s a rare treat now.
Congrats and keep going!7 -

Well I've only gone and done it, a 'dry' birthday 😊! I think the last time that happened was about 50 years ago.
I went out to lunch with my DH and while he toasted my birthday with a glass of red wine I was quite happy with an AF beer. This evening we had a small family gathering and I had a couple of tins of 0% g&t (in a pretty glass with ice and a slice it's very acceptable).
6/25 please cathybird. Thank you. X
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. I have had a lovely birthday. X4 -
