@Coveredinbees!!!! Sorry about your news, I'd imagine being told not to drink will only add to the stress of trying hard not to drink/drink as much.
I am all or nothing, I've actually found it easier not to drink than to try and limit as I am that person that just has another...few!7 -
14/20 please Cathybird.
Sorry to hear about that @Coveredinbees!!!! It's one thing trying to cut down yourself and another someone else saying you must stop altogether. I'm the same as family355 - I wish I could just have a glass of wine but I simply can't. It's a bottle or nothing there's no inbetween. Although I am finding that now I have fewer days when I drink the hangovers are enough to put me off for quite a while.6 -

Checking in and declaring early today - 10/13 please @cathybird
It’s that time of year where everything seems grey - but the daffodils are coming soon. Sounds like a bad metaphor. I guess it is.5 -

20/24 please cathybird.Never known such a slow moving month. And the evenings still feel so long and dull and dark.Very depressing. So tempting to indulge so as to get temporary comfort. Of course there are also all those birthdays this week and next, where I will be indulging. I have a bottle of whiskey which will be used over this period. Once upon a time I wouldnt have been able to stop myself from opening the bottle, and drinking it till it was done,2 days,3 max.Its been in the house untouched for 21 days, and I admit its getting hard to refrain. If there is none available then I am fine,I can get on with things without pressure.Oh well, tomorrow I will be blowing my trombone - WOOT! - and edging closer to that 24 AFD target.I want to shake those pompoms.6

Good afternoon everyone.
Sorry about your news Coveredinbees. Being told you cannot do something, even if it is for the sake of your health, often makes one want to do it more. You have already achieved much, wishing you strength to do what you need. X
I am 22/25 please cathybird. Thank you. X
