Hi Watty1, I’m also sorry to hear you’re struggling. Cathybird offers some kind and thoughtful advice. (If I was a bit more hip I might follow that up with a remark like ‘on brand’).
probably we aren’t meant to try and come up with solutions for each other on here and of course what works for one individual could be regressive for another. Having said that, could I just say that posting regularly on here just seems to help, it really does. I am not sure about the psychology of it, it just helps. Maybe it’s the accountability, or the sense of mutual support. Or maybe just the zany animal emoji’s…?Cathybird, I am up to 21 inc today thank you v much.3 -

And I’m being a bit pathetic here but @cathybird please can I have the Nemo emoji? I don’t think I will make the target achieved stars though.3 -

7/18 Thank you so much for the moral support on here. I really do appreciate it. I didn't manage the early night but I did stay A/F. I am very behind at work (naturally I would be given the drinking and hangovers) so I worked until around 9 pm. I didn't go to book club because that usually involves a drink or two (or more) and decided to stay at work instead. So I managed an A/F day and I did some work and I am at my desk this morning already to try again today.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -
Good morning Watty, well done for staying AF last night and being productive. I hope you have a good day today.

Hi, I'm regretful today, as after posting that I was AF yesterday, a begging phone call from #2 son saw me heading for the port not once but twice. And today, every time DH (his step father) talks about the mess #2 son has got himself into my stomach roils. This isn't the first mess I've mopped up, but some stern talking is needed, and it's not my style. Oh, and the begging only came after he'd been talking about what his son (my grandson) wanted for his birthday which was a Star Wars helmet for over £130!!! To put that into perspective, I had pinged a photo of a pair of slippers from Tesco that would be a nice birthday present from him to me for next week.
So, today's AF day remains as 11/20, and it also means I'm unlikely to make target. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?5 -
Hi, been on jollies so no change,
