I'm away with no connection until next weekend. I will not drink as I will be alone and don't want to drink. In fact I am looking forward to not drinking and feeling clear-headed. So can I log Sat-Thursday (6 days) now please. So I will end up on 18/21. I will still miss my target but I am pleased and would not have done as well without being here.

For September I want to aim for 15 AF days please.

    Thank you @cathybird :)

Anyway, back to the thread. It's 25 from 34 me today.
RobM99’s band are now so famous, they have had to add extra days onto the month at his behest!

I am also up to 25 thank you cathybird.
Ha ha! That's voice-to-text for you - it was meant to say "...from 30 for me today."
Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!

I would also recommend cleaners. A while back I was a quite low and my house got in a bit of a state. Once it gets to a certain point it all becomes too overwhelming; you don't know where to start so it just keeps on getting worse and you don't invite anyone in. I had cleaners in for a one off deep clean. Two energetic young women managed in about four hours to do what I couldn't. It was well worth the money and I have managed (more or less) to keep on top of things.

Target day 25/25 for me today please cathybird. Thank you. X
Marahouti, I know someone who gets this done every year - she first got a deep clean done when she was recuperating from an illness and couldn't cope with cleaning herself, but it was so useful as a way of resetting the house to a pristine state that now she gets it done every year. I can see why.

Thank you doingitanyway! I will make a note of the total but won't update until the actual day (Thurs) because we don't normally add days in advance, hope that's OK x

Hi Dusty ( as an aside) is it worth bringing in a cleaning company? OK it'll cost and only the Diggers can decide, Just an idea. Also - can't the kids spare an hour or two on FTU (Frantic Tidy Up) mode?
Decided to give up worrying.  :)
Mr Dusty and I are just tidying up a room a day, will clean any egregiously bad thing in each room Initial panic over.
Sent the visitor a message explaining my health issues and the situation and that he must take us as he finds us. After all,all his focus will be on Mr Dusty anyway, they havent met up since 2017.All they do when they meet up is gossip for hours.like old ladies. Usually they come in a group of 3 or 4,but he is alone this time.
Coouldnt afford a cleaning team. DD1 has a full time job,and every spare moment she is looking after her five grandkids, all under 6 years old. DD2 is traveling and will not return till the day he arrives. One son is doing inspections up on the isle of Skye, and returns same day the visitor comes,it will be hello and goodbye, and my other son and his partner work full time too. His jobs range all over the I just dont want to burden people.
We'll see what we can achieve little by little, and it will come and go.
It would be much worse if he came with his whole family, that was a nightmare. I spent two weeks just slaving after them. They neveradjusted their sleeping to our UK time zone, were wandering around at 2 in the morning.not yet sleepy. Would come down for breakfast one at a time from about 9 am till 11 am wanting a variety of breakfasts ranging from cereal to toast to omelettes. Mr D insisted that he still kept his normal routine,so I was making food for him  then they were having lunch at 2pm. Washing up piles were huge. Three teenage girls were changing clothes like supermodels,I was doing a wash ever single day and struggling to dry them all as the weather wasnt good. I went to bed at 2 am,and got up at 7.30.
Probably I'm just  having flashbacks of those times. Never known such heedlesscareless people!.So I'll look on the brightside, there's only one ,for a few days. It'll be over before we know it. I was a bit depressed when I made my last post, and had a few drink cravings but I've got myself under control now! o:)

Thanks to everone who made useful comments about the visitor situation.Next month we are getting new carpets and suite, once the grandkids/grandkids are back to school. This is a really hectic time during the school holidays. Everyone is coming and going all the time.
Anyhoo,it'll all come out in the wash,as my mother used to say.

22/24 please cathybird. Bring on the swimmer! Almost at target!!!
