Happy lunchtime everybody and it's 24 out of 30 for me today. On the band front. We've had to cancel one gig at the weekend because the organisers were just mucking us about way too much. They changed the day. They changed the time of performance three times. They changed the stage. We had a call from another band saying and I quote "You can't do those songs. We're doing them and we take priority". Well, who do they think they are? The Beatles?! Anyway, as luck would have it a few hours later we got offered another gig. Okay. It's a charity one. So we won't get paid. We're going to do that one instead. And we're really looking forward to that. Woohoo!  Band politics, eh?! Much more to it than just turn up, play and go home again. Apologies for the dodgy syntax. I'm using voice to text...

19/24 please ,cathybird. I'm getting there!.

Must stay grounded and not panic. Less than 2 weeks warning we are getting a visitor from USA. He arrives 2nd Sept. After 2 years continual sickness housework has gone by the board,the house is shabby and a mess.I had plans for new carpets and suite for Xmas,and just putting up with the shabby even torn stuff till after the summer is done My back is now so bad I can only stand cooking etc for 5 mins at a time and by then the pain is horrific. 

Mr Dusty just says we will have takeaways or go out to eat. Men just dont have a clue how much is involved in having guests. lol.

Oh well,I'll explain the situation to the guest and he'll have to take us as he finds us. All the kids are full time workers,and have children or grandkids to deal with,so I dont want to bother them much.Really the only time anyone has is this Sunday,which isnt much.As long as I can hold off the anxiety and depressing and keep away from the alcohol.Must tough it out.Wish me luck.

Hi Dusty ( as an aside) is it worth bringing in a cleaning company? OK it'll cost and only the Diggers can decide, Just an idea. Also - can't the kids spare an hour or two on FTU (Frantic Tidy Up) mode?
