I wanted to use bars of soap and shampoo bars instead.
Finally got down to the last few bottles and started to look at alternatives then Christmas came along.
Seems that everyone thought I would appreciate plastic bottles of shower gel etc. Not quite back where I started but another 6 months of stock to use up. Sounds ungrateful but a few bars of fancy natural soaps would have been lovely.
I'm getting through my wool stash. Work mate expecting a baby girl so lots of blankets getting crocheted.
Best not mention the fabric stash, whoops just did.8 -
I don’t use shower gel but there’s probably some in my stash (I haven’t had the opportunity to take an inventory yet). If my daughter doesn’t want it I’ll probably donate it to the food bank.
Two sausages removed from the freezer today and I’ll take out a chicken breast tonight so I can put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker tomorrow morning (a rare day at home tomorrow!)2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

You could use the shower gel as handwash. I used bubble bath as handwash!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Thanks for a brilliant and prompting thread. I’m doing a no spend year so I’m not allowed to buy toiletries, cleaning products unless run out and non- essential item are a no-go.I have a small collection of zoflora to use up, a few toilet ducks and a cupboard of various shampoo, conditioner, baby wash and shower gels. I also have plenty of makeup to use up which I won’t be replacing except mascara that I wear almost daily.I’ll be following this thread for motivation.Just a single mum, working full time, bit of a nutcase, but mostly sensible, wanting to be Mortgage free by 2035 or less!8

Went to take a chicken breast from the freezer last night only to discover I didn’t have one in there 🤦🏻♀️ (That has never happened before, I always have chicken breasts! I buy a multi pack, use 1 or 2 fresh and freeze the rest!) So chicken casserole is off the menu for tonight, which is a shame as I haven’t made it for ages and was really looking forward to it. Hey ho, never mind, I discovered a 500g pack of beef mince so have taken that out to thaw - I will cook the lot, using some of the chopped onion from the freezer, possibly turning into bolognese, have some tonight over cauliflower and broccoli, portion up the rest and refreeze.I know I’m not supposed to be adding to my freezer stash but it’s a net reduction so I’m ok with that 😁2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Made a sausage casserole yesterday which involved 1/2 a tin of tomatoes, left over from breakfast, 2 carrots fresh, the rest involved me getting the veg drawer from fridge/freezer and chucking into pot, sliced peppers, onioms, mushrooms, spinach cubes, some of my frozen tomatoes from last years bumper harvest, and 3 sausages, the remainder of the 6 pack I am having for breakfast now.Do I need it or just want it.7
