I’m the same. I’ve been up since 4.30am so there is absolutely no way I’ll still be awake at midnight 🤣 Years ago I would’ve been out there in my strappy dress and sandals on NYE. Nowadays I’ll settle for my feet up in my PJs 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Happy New Year one and all, hope it brings you everything you've wished for xx
Right, let's begin, let's see what this 12 months has in store.
I managed a lie-in this morning, ds came home around 3am but was very quiet. He is still sleeping like a baby, he is working today but doesn't start til 5pm. The house is tidy and clean, never finished but I'm happy with it although will find various bits to potter and do no doubt. I plan on making a shepherds pie today using some of the mince I bought yesterday.
I didn't make New Year resolutions but I do want to take one photo a day this year, not necessarily anything amazing, just 365 photos that will sum up my year when this rolls around again.Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000

Have you tried the 1 second everyday app? In 2024 I managed the whole year but last year I gave up halfway through the year. You can use a short video clip but mostly I used photos and end up with a whole mash of the year! It's free😀
I really need to sort out a new signature!1 -
Todays photo is of some daffodils I bought, I'm off to look at that app though Pixie thank you

I didn't sleep particularly well last night so am tired already, early night for me tonight. Tomorrow I'm having my hair done then off to the pantomime with a friend. I got the tickets last summer, they were buy one get one free, I'm looking forward to it, haven't been to a pantomime for years.Mortgage Total: £49,992/ £75,000

Had a lovely day today, (hair and pantomime), weekend is here then it's back to work. Todays photo was from the pantomime. £7.50 spent on a McDonalds for lunch today (didn't have time to pop home after my hair appointment), £15 on car oil (from my car pot) and £38 to fill up on petrol.
£4 made on a bet, off now to watch the Traitors, then I have a £4 M&S Too Good To Go bag to collect from the petrol station, I will report back what is in it

4 x Cadbury puds
1 x chocolate veg
2 x maltesers reindeer
2 x lindor balls

Morning, another M&S TGTG bag reserved for tonight, will report back what's in todays one later.
This morning I have been and done the food shop for the week and did really well with bargains. First I stopped at M&S and got some strawberry yoghurt for £1.30 and 3 garlic bulbs for 57p, then went to Tesco for the big shop and got loads of bargains - 400g pack of blueberries reduced from £4.50 to £1.14, so I got 5 of those (there were loads there), 4 conference pears reduced from £2.30 to 58p, 2 packs of on the vine tomatoes reduced from £1.15 to 29p, a fish pie mix reduced from £5.60 to £3.92, a pack of 20 finest chipolata sausages reduced from £4.50 to £3.15, a pack of chicken thighs (1kg) reduced from £2.99 to £2.09, a pack of chicken breasts reduced from £10.50 to £7.35 (7 in the pack), 4 bags of soft apricots recued from £3.00 to 75p (bbe July 26), 2 big bars of Cadbury mint crisp reduced from £5.00 to £2.50.
My total shop came to £71 which, these days, seemed really good, it also included a big pack of washing pods (£9.50). The blueberries will get used in porridge or smoothies, and the rest of the weekend will be spent batch cooking sweet and sour chicken, fish pie, sausage casserole etc, filling up the freezer for the month ahead, as well as general housework, popping to the tip etc
