This morning I have cut the grass, watered the front garden and my new hanging basket. I've also done one load of washing, hoovered downstairs, sorted the freezer and put all the rubbish out. The rest of today will be spent pottering, relaxing, having some general me time and hopefully not spending much money.Mortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000

Thank you all for your kind words xx
Today I have seen a friend for coffee this morning, this afternoon the weather is looking pants so will be having an indoor afternoon, hopefully not spending money. I want to look at the budget for next month. Oh, and this morning I have booked a holiday for next year - it is basically the cruise I was going to do this summer but next year instead. I have paid the deposit and am taking a chance as I can't book travel insurance until my op is done, but if I wait too long the price of the holiday will increase and single rooms are very limited on cruises, so I have taken the chance and booked it. I need to pay the balance by April (it is sat in a pot waiting).

Yesterday I took Mum to see her sister - she barely opened her eyes, mumbled a bit but generally was very very poorly. Today my sister has been and said it was like we'd gone back 3 weeks, she was sat up in bed chatting ... they have dropped some of her meds, not sure if it was side effects making her very sleepy or whether this is a final rally ...
Today I have had my hair cut, takes forever as I had it coloured and for some reason my hair takes yonks - my appointment was at 1:30, I left the hairdressers at 6:35
Tomorrow I'm seeing my brother for lunch with him and Mum then going to a friends housewarming party in the evening. I also need to do the end of the month banking stuff tonight or tomorrow. I am not expecting it to be pretty but I do always like the start of the month for getting straight and a clean page on my spreadsheet.Mortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000

Hi Sarah, I use P&O as they seem to be the best value for solo travellers at a value price. I am paying £1800 for 2 weeks, if it was 2 people going it would be around £1450 each, so yes I pay more but not the double that most companies charge. I am also lucky that the port is only 30 minutes drive from home so I don't need to worry about overnight hotels, parking charges etc which helps keep the cost of the holiday down too.Mortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000

Postie brought me my letter from Nationwide today telling me I've got £100 from their Fairer Share scheme. I'm loving Nationwide this year, that plus the £50 earlier in the year is making me very brand loyal right now
The £100 will go in to the mortgage pot, which means before we've even made it into June I've already got most of the months money covered - £100 from wages, £100 from Nationwide, £33 interest from savings account, so only £17 to find in June!
Today I've done the food shop and am meeting my brother in a bit for lunch. I've had to clean the outside of the car again as a bunch of seagulls with diarrhoea decided to use it as target practice. I'll hoover the inside of it later or tomorrow.Mortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000
