Hi Sarah, my room is 3m x 4m and it's costing £300 (underlay, carpet and fitting) - I went for one of the cheaper carpets as most of it will be covered with furniture anyway. It was a job that needed doing when I moved in and as I've now been here for 7.5 years I thought it was about time I got round to it

Love the smell of a new carpet, Benben! Happy new carpet and well done on the weight loss. Mine has stalled for the last two weeks on the 2.5mg, I'm hoping the 5mg next week will work better. xMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,956.86

Morning all, nothing planned as yet today, I think I might be doing some Christmas shopping with a friend later but plans haven't been firmed up as yet. Up early this morning as ds got up for work so I thought I may as well get up too.
All rubbish/recycling has gone out, I took loads to the tip yesterday on the way to taking the cat to the vets (old clothes that weren't good enough for Vinted to the textiles bank, tonnes of cardboard etc). Ds has put some stuff in the washing machine before he left so that is doing its thing.
This morning I want to get the bathroom cleaned and the downstairs loo, clean the light fittings downstairs (I forget about them), and get our coats cleaned before the winter.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Hmm, well the light fittings got cleaned but not the other bits. Maybe today
I'm off for my nails appointment in a bit, that's all I've got planned for today, I do need to do the payday shuffle though. Next month needs to be not quite so spendy as I have gone a bit mad on bigger things this month (carpet, vets, boiler, fire), although the first three will come from the household budget. Fingers crossed we should be getting our back pay at the end of this month, we are meant to get a payrise in April but the unions take ages sorting it and every year for the 17 that I've worked in education we haven't got it until November, although it is always nice to get a lumpsum. I will probably pay for the fire from it and any left over will go towards my holiday.

Nails done, popped in and paid the carpet man on my way home. Got back and gave the grass yet another final cut for the year - I keep saying its the final one but its still growing like crazy! I also swept the drive and put Henry Hoover away in the garage. Might have a quick nap now then sort the banking later on. I'll be closing the curtains early and avoiding trick and treaters, call me grumpy but its not my thingMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Morning, happy new month! Money has been moved and banking checked, signature updated with £50 from my wages gone into the holiday pot, £5 from VYPR and £32 interest from my savings pots.
Off for my haircut this morning, it's long overdue, they always ask me to rebook for 6 weeks time but I only have it cut about every 6 months as it's too expensive otherwise.
Ds put a washing load on before he went to work this morning so I need to get that out before I go, dishwasher is on too so that can be emptied when I get back.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
