and the end of the month is finally approaching. Banking is looking there or there abouts with 3 days to go until payday. I have kept my walking up, 20,000 steps (11.5 miles) a day. I am struggling with shin splints this weekend but am icing and resting my legs as much as possible. Today has been a chilled housework kinda day with some football chucked in.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Very impressed with the number of daily steps,1

I’ve also done 20,000 steps today but my Fitbit says this is only 8 miles, I’ve been short changed I demand a recount 😆 I used to get shin splints when I first started walking to and from work many years ago but it does wear off after a few days.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Shin splints can often be related to the shoes being worn or even the way those shoes are laced - it's worth doing some research on running forums as there is often great advice to be found there.

Thanks EH, I did get my trainers from a running shop, checked my gait etc, but will check out re, lacing etc. It feels strange to not be walking at the moment, I can even feel it when I'm driving, when my foot is at an angle on the pedalsMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Not sure where the last two weeks went but it's finally half-term
The sun is shining and I have started the week off with a clean and tidy ... bed has been stripped and bedding is in the machine, bed has been aired and re-made. Big tidy up in all rooms, dusted and hoovered downstairs, mopped the floors too. Recycling has gone out, been to the shop and bought some milk, back doors are wide open and fresh air is coming in, bliss!
Time now for a quick shower then the rest of today will be spent focussed mainly on football.
This week I want to try and gently ease back in to my walking, I need to get new trainers first though. Other than that it will be catching up with various friends for coffee, decluttering and jobs around the house and chilling outMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

This morning I went and got my gait analysed and bought some new trainers. They were £££ but I don't really have any other hobbies, this is the only expense for it, and I will definitely get my use out of them making them great value for money.
Once home I put them on and went for an hours walk down the beach. I don't want to over-do it yet, I need to see if my legs are okay but so far so good
This afternoons plans include some tidying and seeing if I can find anything for Vinted / marketplace from around the house. I always think I've cleared everything that needs to go but I always seem to find something that I don't need / use anymore.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I dug out the remaining bits from my cards and took some new photos and stuck them on the group on Facebook - my inbox went bonkers and I have sold £85 of it today - all parcelled up and ready to be posted in the morning, but more importantly I have now condensed what is left (mainly Xmas bits) into one small storage tub rather than two so I have gained a hole in my Kallax unit in the conservatoryMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
