Oops - missed a bit of logging here!
The update from January tally I have moved £50 of the money over to my Chase account as they have savings pots giving 3% interest. (The account the TT is paid into is only 1.3%.) As there is no intention of removing the money for the foreseeable future it can work a little harder there for me.
I was going to close the account until I got an email advising of the increase to take place on 13th February. I further removed some other annual pots of money over too for the same reason. You can have a total of 10 savings accounts - what's not to like about it when saving for annual bills?
I show no loyalty to any bank, if there is an offer, I will very kindly accept. I do have 5 bank accounts  :#. Always worth a days work annually for a princely sum of £150 or more  o:)
So February TT to date is £29.35 as I haven't spent any money I moved £10.

    TT total for year £80.50

Today I moved a little more as there was an odd amount on the C/A 6.87.
forgot to add moved 36p on the 10th and 3.00 on 13th.
February TT to date is 36.22

Also had a womble find of 5p at the back of my car - as we do, we donate to each other but still end up in the same pot.
The man in the cheese shop handed me 2 x 2.00 coins so they are in the very old saver ornament.

    TT for the year £89.22

Whoops the month end is nearly upon us. I have had quite a successful month for some unexplained reason of having the availability to move and TT pennies. As I have not been out and about the temptation to spend any money has been avoided. This also shows in the balance in my bank account.
I am currently at £51.11 for February. I did move January monies to another account which pays a bit better interest to make this work even harder and can't remember where I put it.
Hope you are all doing and being well

I’ve moved £88.50 this month, split between an account that has limited access and some to an easy access saving account, both with higher interest than my current account. This was all in the first half of the month, not been ‘on it’ these last weeks. Thank you for the inspiration and for running the thread.

@MrsCautious wow! well done on the savings especially when not on it very well. It's good to make the pennies work harder too. Keep up the good work.
Need to do a tot up on mine for February it was definitely healthier than I first thought.

    Morning TT Peeps,
hope you are all keeping well in this strange weather.
I have managed to do some more TT especially when I am restricted from meandering into town aimlessly. I therefore do move some bigger than normal chunks i.e towards rounding up to £10. My year to date figure is 124.78 (may need adjusting later when I do an audit on my numbers as I have decided to move £50 a time into a better interest yielding online only bank acct.)
However I remember and will never forget the difficulties of starting small, yet still making small progress to become debt free. I used to send less than £1(as low as 27p) many a time to the CC's I had at the time. If at anytime any of you are able to get the benefit of having an interest free BT go for it! Even if it is for a smaller amount than you would like just do it, set up a DD for minimum payment and keep moving onto another offer of 0% BT if needed until it is gone. Better still, in time you may be able to add other balances as your credit rating improves and it is all in one place. Remember, never to spend on this card, it is your road to financial freedom.
To help keep momentum and not be too down heartened at times I would treat this as a  game. (Trying to keep it light hearted) I would look forward to the CC bill arriving and seeing the little extras that had been made during the month. It kept me inspired to keep going and seeing the success in the reduction of said debt.
This has not happened overnight, never forget that.
Be kind to yourself, you're on focus of changing your relationship with money. You could "reward" yourself of a bit extra small payment (just a £1 will do - if you can afford) when you stop yourself from overspending or resisting the temptation to spend. What ever works for you is totally acceptable.
Has anyone any further suggestions or wish to share their story?

    Morning Peeps,
When you think of online banking for some this is a no go area. Maybe as you are not familiar or don't like the sound of it.
I have come to love it - sadly the branches are becoming a rarity due to closures and more is going online. I do believe though some face to face help/support needs to be out there.

I will focus on the positives for now.
Many banks are now using the "rounding up" automation. This is a brilliant arrangement for those who are "scratting" around for bits of money. Hence where my handle name came from. ;)
To take full advantage of this I would suggest you open up a separate account/pot to move this money into. This is where you will be able to see the small change mounting up. I love the visual of seeing the changes.
Doing a Tilly Tidy does not have to, or need to be physical.
If it means having one less thing to worry about, by getting the change together, using this method you are still achieving Tilly Tidying.
There are also current accounts i.e Nationwide has an impulse saver option that offers moving the change manually on line - again, move that into another account/pot.
There is some instant gratification from this and you can see the amounts working their way upwards.
Your Tilly Tidy is there for you to use, times it's used as a pay off, others towards a treat or it can be swiped away for some other purpose, the thing to remember is when the latter happens you had the money ready.

    Morning Peeps,
Hope everyone is well and doing OK.
We have got through the winter the days are lighter and that tunnel of light is so much brighter.
Has anyone got any tips to share for those who are struggling?
How did you manage with your Tilly bits of change?
Did you get together some small amounts and need to use them, what did you use them for. Would you have had that small stash of money previously?

    Take care all

    Morning TT Peeps,
we have survived another month. The lighter nights are here big time and what a difference that can make to our mood and being able to manage things a little/lot better. The heating doesn't need to be on as long (psychologically) we are still playing the mind game and are starting to get out more just because its brighter.
This can mean saving on a bus fare and TTing  that bit extra away or towards something else. I hope some of you have been in a position (banks depending) of getting a little bit of money bank when using your debit cards. I have received just over £3 back which I was surprised at as I hadn't spent on it anymore than usual. So that bit went to the TT savings - money for nothing what is there not to like about it. (I am grateful too)

My TT for March is £35.41

It may not seem a lot or it may seem a lot. It is all about perception.

It could be a sunny day trip out with the children taking a packed lunch. Might not scrape to ice cream for many (maccies might fit the bill though  ;) )

A budgeted weekly shop (we can do this on here in MSE)

Go visit someone friend or family not seen in a while

Put some extra gas and electric on

Pay an extra payment off a debt.

Have a well earned treat for all i.e takeaway, discounted tickets for a show or cinema

    Simply save it all

    Save some, spend a little

Put some extra fuel in the car

    See you in April.
