Welcome @Sunflower_55 used to take pleasure in sending any small amounts I could so when statement day came there were lots of little adds. They won't turn down even a penny. Not sure which way you will go, we are all different. Good luck

Just popped back into my online account to see how I am going with the TT's. Surprisingly at £45.45. I did drop some in whilst moving money in and out of my accounts being payday :)  It is a lot more than I had anticipated. I have also done a cheeky move of the odd £5 when I have had a NSD, may as well see the added benefit of not spending.

In the past 2 days I have collected road kill change. There were 4 x 1p pieces on the empty car park at Ald! saved into a cup that sits in our bureau. Then yesterday whilst spending a £1 on inflating my tyres in the garage 5p was a loitering this landed in the dimple bottle that only fits that coin. Each time DH or I find we always give it to the other.

Today I moved some change and rounded down to an even number before the next batch of spending occurs.

So today my TT stands at £49.95

I’ve tidied up £184.49 in January, which is a far bigger amount than I’d have imagined. Thanks for the inspiration by running this. I think February will be a much lower amount.

I have just seen on FB a similar conversation to what we are doing here. It was surprising to see how many people did not realise that most bank accounts offer the facility to save the change from their spends.
It would appear to me that there are many many people who throughout their lives have not been taught or been able to save for very many reasons.
I think that this is an absolute benefit to the electronic banking facility we now have today, in particular favourable to people who need to squirrel money away without it being noticed by others.
The banking system too has also come to its senses about millions of small pockets of money is to their advantage too. However I do not agree with a cashless society.
Where people find their LBM with their own way of tilly tidying it will give them the power, knowledge and confidence to become better savers. It all starts off small.
    Power to the penny  B)

I'll see what I can squeeze out of today and tomorrow, I do need to do some errands which includes spending money  ;)
