Hello! Yes I am a crafter, I knit, crochet, love hand sewing, used to quilt, and occasionally dabble in dressmaking (shall we say with mixed results?).
I'm also on a yarn-ban!

I'm sure I saw a very waggy tail under a bush on my way in... There was a suspicious clanging too. I'm afraid the dog may have found the cake tin...

Ooohhh, another knitter!  What are you making at the moment?  Beyond a gazillion items that just need sewing up, I'm currently making this jumper and have yet another pair of socks on the needles, living in my handbag.

Good afternoon, I'm in again, if that is okay. I must do much better in 2023. 

I wasn't too far out with my clothes but adding the wool on top just blew my coupon allowance out of the water. Thank goodness my DH only purchased a new T-shirt and a new jumper all year. So, I had access to his coupons. 

I heard that wool was going to be very hard to get hold of (at least for the first five months) for me.
Planned spends will most certainly involve jeans and a pair of trainers. But hopefully not before the summer. 

I have a question... I am making a granny square bag ( Christmas present ) it says that I should oversew the crocheted squares together. Can anyone recommend a quick video to watch. So far, I have only joined by double crocheting. Many thanks in advance.

Sorry, sorry, entirely my fault - I moved the cake-tin into the coal-bunker outside and forgot to tell you! 

Here it is - I've wiped it clean... at least it kept that bloomin' Scruff out for ten minutes! 

Now... Xmas cake, mince pies... ooh, someone's been busy, more biscuits!

Hello, I would like to rejoin, I moved into the village last January but was called away on some urgent work, which meant I didn’t end up using my coupons! But I am back and raring to go.

May I join you all for next year please? I live a little way up the hill at the sheep farm. I may well end the year with as many coupons as i start. I have bought no clothes at all this year. Received gloves, oodie and socks for Christmas, the only things i needed. But i do buy wool! And our local drapers has announced it's going into administration, so i could go there. 

I knit for the grandchildren and anyone who's having a baby. I also like cake and biscuits, so think i may fit in here.

Hello, sneaking back in to take a place at the fire. I'm writing off 2022 bought far too many clothes and shoes. I am donating and passing on items that don't fit or feel right or I just don't like. 

Please could I rejoin and retry for 2023. Will be for myself, OH and DD. I am attempting cold turkey and challenging myself to not buy any clothes for 3 months. None of us need anything.

Evening all.

I’d like to put myself forward for 2023. I’m on a big declutter and downsize since my ex and I broke up, and I’m focusing on moving to new housing with considerably less stuff!

There’s a fair amount of clothes to get rid of which don’t fit, or aren’t my style any more. There are some which will need to be replaced - I’m a charity shop shopper first and foremost, but I’m sure there will be some things which will need to be bought new, so a way of tracking this would be good!

I have raging start-itis therefore have millions of WIPs... Many socks, a chunky cardi, and a couple of gnomes. And that's not counting crochet either!
Part of my plan is to finish or frog everything except my scrappy blanket, which is an intentional ongoing project.

I enjoy joining everyone in the village hall for a natter while you are all doing various crafts. I am still persisting with learning to knit & I can do very basic sewing both by hand and on the machine. I did make a rag rug wreath to add to our Christmas decorations this year, I'm thinking of possibly making one or two for presents for next year.
