Sorry to hear that you are suffering so much, PipneyJane. Fingers crossed that it all gets sorted out quickly. Quite impressive that you actually have such a pro-active consultant who is willing to push things through!Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.
Fashion on the Ration - 24.5/66 ( 5 - shoes, 1.5 - bra, 11.5 - 2 pairs of shoes and another bra, 5- t-shirt, 1.5 yet another bra!)7 -
Hope you are feeling better PipneyJane. Don't know if peppermint cremes would work as well as peppermint tea. I got hooked on them when I was visiting over there - but they don't ship well. So couldn't bring them home with me. I am having hiatal hernia and stomach problems too. I will be having an Endoscopy (maybe the same as your exam) in January. My should problem was a torn rotator cuff. Now I am having problems with a pinched nerve in my left arm and neuropathy in both feet and lower legs. I guess everything seems to come in threes.8

I have just used up all my coupons ( and gone over by one) by buying three pairs of knee length socks that are WARM. Really appreciated at 8 am when I'm setting up a stall!Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.

Pip - Sorry to hear that you are feeling so rough. Sending hugs.Wee Nancy - Sorry to hear about the health issues. No need to ship peppermint creams though as they are very easy to make - often children make them for presents. There are 2 ways of making them the no cook one and the cooked one - both are good. I've only made the uncooked one (I think the first ones I made was when I was very young) - the recipe I used was similar to this one. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/peppermint-creams2024 Fashion on the Ration - 3.5/66.5 coupons remaining1 cardigan - 5 coupons13 prs ankle socks - 13 coupons5 prs leggings - 10 coupons4 prs dungarees - 24 coupons1 cord jacket - 11 couponstotal 63 coupons6

Laura, that's an amazing job - he looks so full of life now!
PipneyJane - gentle {{{hugs}}} - hoping your consultant's pushes yield a speedy & effective result.
Rushing again, I don't know where today has got to! I'd intended to make some more stitched rope-baskets tonight (an easy win for family presents) but it's a bit late now...Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)5 -
Merry Christmas everyone. May your celebrations be merry and congenial.
This may be the last chance I get to post before Santa’s World Tour. We’ll be going to DH’s sister’s tomorrow, for 2 nights, so I may not get the chance to be online for a couple of days. When I get home, I plan to put up the 2024 Fashion On The Ration Challenge and will tag everyone who signed up this year, when I post the link in this Challenge.
A quick update on me: I had an MRI on Thursday and have a CT scan booked for mid-day today. Appointment with the Gastroenterology Team is on 12th January.
Big hugs to all.

I've been lurking all year. I hadn't intended to get anything wearable at all in 2023, but needed 2 summer tops and new sandals for my holidays.
I'd like to join in next year, if I may?

@PipneyJane, I hope all goes well with your tests.
Yes please to next year's thread.
One and all - I hope you have a peaceful and relaxing time over the next few weeks.
Any a tiny bit of news from me: DS2 has completed on a house and moved a van-load of stuff out of his old room (it hasn't all gone yet) and DH and I are starting to take over the vacated space. DH has inherited the wardrobe so I have all of the one we shared. I realised I don't own as much I the way of shirts as I'd thought, though possibly still too many. I've also extricated a little table from the box room that used to be DD's room. At present it's packing central as I am working relief hours for Father Christmas (the elves have the attention span of a flea so I have plenty to do). When that's done, I intend to set up my sewing machine. With a dedicated surface to work on, and laminate flooring to cut things out on, I'm hoping I finally learn to sew in 2024!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I shan't be alone in keeping my ginfers very frimly scrosed for you, @PipneyJane!
I'm in for 2024, please- like @PollyWollyDoodle says, this challenge has totally changed how I buy and don't buy clothes!
If anyone is on their own over Christmas, or the opposite (ie too many bloomin' people and you need to escape!), they've arranged for the Village Hall to be unlocked over the festive period, so that everyone ands anyone in Much Mending on the Borrow can just come in for a bit of peace, and maybe some nice company and a cup of tea... there's a fruitcake over in the tin there, obviously it's not iced - c'mon, it is 1942, what do you expect?! It took all our combined efforts to get the dried fruit together if you recall... anyway, help yourselves to the cake and I'll be popping in as and when I can2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
