    Nothing on the notice of trial date letter.

    The previous letter of allocation says
    "6) each party .... 14 days before the hearing"

    As above.  That's your WS deadline.

    Don't leave it to the last minute and DO come back in August to take part in the Government's final Public Consultation.  I'm guessing but confidently hoping the accompanying draft Impact Assessment will have some choice phrases people like you can also use in your Witness Statements...!

    Count Court Letter issued: Dated 13th Dec 2022

    Acknowledgement of Service MCOL: 26th December 2022

    Defence filed (& acknowledged): 16th January 2023

    Offer to settle Letter Received: 1st March 2023

    Directions Questionnaire N180 – 29th March 2023

    Allocation to Small Courts Track N157 – 16th June 2023

    Notice of Trial Date letter received – 20th June 2023

    DCB phone call of settlement – 21st June 2023

    ----

    Witness Statement Due: 22nd Sept 2023

    Trial Date: 6th October 2023

    Well look what came through today.

    "we act for the claimant in the above matter. 

    our client has instructed us to discontinue court proceedings and close our file. Therefore, please find enclosed the claimant's N279 Notice of Discontinuancefor your records.

    the attached has also been filed with the court.

    we will now proceed to close our file accordingly".
