Good find on the winter weight linen trousers! I love mine. I very rarely see them in cs's now, and when I do they're never the right size. And yes it is more resilient to wrinkles and crinkles
Edit - speaking of linen. I took a deep breath and bought some Marks' linen bedding when it was on offer a while back. It is definitely worth the money. I've found it feels better next to the skin if I don't use fabric softener in the rinse cycle, but an extra rinse is worth it
Talking of linen bedding....does anyone remember the conversation a while back about bedding when @Nelliegrace posted about French Metis linen/cotton mix vintage bedding? I was fascinated by it and finally took the plunge and bought 3 large vintage sheets on Fleabay. ( I needed an odd sheet in order to make English sized pillow cases as the vintage French ones seem to be of the square variety.) The sheets were unused and still in their vintage packaging with the folds of the fabric aged to a browner shade than the rest which was ecru. There were also marks left by the old stickers too. I went through the recommended soaking process to whiten and soften them using the Oxy Action Stain Remover stuff and all the marks have come out. It's going to take a few washes to get them properly softened but goodness me they are so thick they will see me out and a couple of generations after me I think!!! Anyhoo, hope you are pleased with your M & S linen sheets.
On a day when everyone here was wearing summer dresses and sandals what did I buy in the local BHF shop? Only a pair of heavy woollen tartan trews* by House of Bruar. I'm sure I will be glad of them in the winter!!!
*When I say 'tartan trews' in my head why is it in a thick Scottish accent????
Here they are...

I don't want to brag, but since it's (currently) sunny my M&S bed linen is getting line dried. Youngest being coshed through the gentil art of pegging it so it drapes as flat as we can manage & then angled to let the wind just stroke it dry & flat. It's glorious stuff....
I do have a linen duvet cover for his use, but he treats his bedding Appallingly, sleeping happily in a sort of fieldmouse nest heap.9 -

Thanks for that Miro
I handwash mine in weak baby shampoo and rinse in clean water, works ok but I'll look out for handwash liquid. I used to use Dreft soap flakes but I've not seen them for ages... I really like those trews (and yes I read it in a Scottish accent
) Why do I never find such good stuff in my chazzers.... I think I need to move.
Edit - yes I'm very pleased with my linen bedding, it's definitely worth the money. It took a few washes to soften them up but they're great now. I'm waiting on the next sale to buy moreI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.7 -
So, I was rootling around in the 20p Shop in Otley this afty when I spotted this brown jumper. The designer's name, Salvatore Ferragamo, rang some dim and distant bell but clarity did not materialise at the time. Anyhoo, I quite liked it, even more so when I saw it was 100% wool, and EVEN MORE SO knowing It was only 20p. A little digging on the inter web found a similar jumper for sale on FleaBay!!!!!!
My jumper... 20p
On FleaBay....£235.82 !!!!!

Wow @Miró you are doing well this week, I love the colours in the trousers. It was too wet to go chazza visiting yesterday and too hot to bother today so nothing to report here except that I'm wearing the polo shirt I bought last Sunday and it's very comfortable.5

I hadn't found anything I liked lately, but I went to Superdrug yesterday and popped into the Mind shop on Leigh Broadway afterwards. I found an M&S blue and gold maxi dress for £6. Perfect condition.:) It is a bit long on me so I will have to wear my higher sandals with it.2025 GOALS

Some great bargains being found here!
I went to Maidstone yesterday and found a Fox and Ivy mug BN with my initial on it for £1.99 and as I was paying by card, I also bought 4 x Christmas money wallets for 49p each. Today I got a pair of M&S beige chino shorts in PDSA for £3.49 and a Mahiki tiki ceramic mug to Ebay for charity in Age Concern for £4.99. Hope to sell it for double that.
