A little tripette around Northallerton today and from Age Concern, (near Tesco), I got a pair of dark denim, ‘girlfriend’ jeans, by J Crew for £4.95.5

Village church fair yesterday. I bought a box of 3 M&S shea butter soaps for 50p and DH won a sketch book for 50p which will go to one of the grandsons. My sister likes to crayon a sketch of the scenery when they are out and about with their picnic, a relaxing hobby. School art lessons used to be an undemanding hour.9

I adore linen, but wearing it involves effort (as in ironing). Gloriously worth it though, holds a dye well, line dries to a gorgeous texture (when the weather permits!) just it does crease at a harsh look. (The bedding I make with really strict hospital corners & is a complete joy).Miró said:Got a smashing white linen one once for 99p that someone washed and couldn't be bothered ironing!9 -

I have a very expensive White Company superking size linen sheet that I got in the sale & it’s like sleeping on a cloud!
I have a mix of linen & thick brushed cotton bedding.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. I must shop with my eyes closed, I've never (knowingly) seen linen bedding... I'm picky about my bedding. My summer gear is cotton so old and thin you could spit through it, and my god it's soft. Winter is brushed cotton (some from Lidl/Aldi, fine after a few washes but wouldn't really recommend).
Linen clothes I have some of. You can leave the house all cool and fresh and crinkle-free, but look down to check you're still crinkle-free and wrinkles will appear, just out of badness

I was watching an American YouTuber yesterday and she had just got linen bedding and she said it gets softer after each wash. I hadn't even heard of it.7
