Cherryfudge said:That's worthy of becoming one of Martin's moral dilemmas! My vote would be to mention it and suggest it goes on his Christmas or birthday list. (That was you have the space a bit longer, he has the pleasure of anticipation and you are ahead with your buying - and bonus points for getting him something you knew he likes).I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Brie said: I think it's actually more in tune with Martin's Mantra. Do I need it? Well no we don't. I think we already have 5 sets of china so more than enough for any couple. I think if we were royalists and were doing a street party we could provide enough settings for most the street!!!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Wedgwood Dinner Set Petersham R4536 - CS P28 | eBay. She was however thoroughly delighted with the bits I bought on Saturday and is trying them on for size.
Popped into my favourite chazzer yesterday, nothing there that caught my eye.

We went to a different car boot sale this morning: it was rather crowded but quite interesting.
I got two little Body Shop hand creams (the sort that fit in your bag) for 50p each, a couple of children's books for DGD (50p total) and a jug from a 50p box. The jug was filthy but it's Gaudy Welsh. Like the Royal Alberts, not something I'd choose if I didn't already have some with sentimental value, but it's in good condition, has cleaned up beautifully and the Internet says it's 1820 to 1860. It's going to join my mum's one and another (damaged) one from a car boot sale, to make a bit of a display.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Oh poo! Was so pleased with myself for having a clothes clear out but I seem to have made inroads into replacing everything
. A quick dash today to Ripon for a food shop and I could not resist popping into the chazza shops. Came away with 3 dresses and a shirt. A Boden velvet dress in teal, £12, (original price £90), a Next shirtwaister dress in a burgundy flower print, £6, a BNWT green flowery Oasis strappy sundress, price tag of £75, chazza price £15. Thinking of converting it into a skirt as I would probably get more wear with a plain coloured top….not sure yet. Finally, I found a J Crew pink checked shirt, bit pricy at £6.95 but I like their stuff!
