I went to five local shops today. St Vincent's, Shared Space, Harp, Mind and Cats Protection. I noticed a few of them had different signs up either saying they couldn't take anymore donations at the moment or that they needed more donations.
I was looking for a cross body bag and I found a maroon one finally in Mind. I also got a black and white blouse, a blue jumper and a purple checked shirt. I had a purse full of change and I managed to get rid of all of it apart from about £1 in change. I think it was all about £15.4 -
I had to run a work-related errand yesterday which took me to the other side of the county and past a charity shop I have never visited before. It advertises itself as a "boutique" chazzer so I expected it to be pricey, but it wasn't at all. They had some lovely children's clothes (£2 each irrespective of brand, and there were some very high end ones).
I ended up with just one thing, a Maxwell & Williams "Fragrant Garden" rosemary patterned pestle and mortar. I have a massive granite one already, and a tiny china one for squishing garlic, but have been on the lookout for a medium sized one as well ... so at £3 I was v pleased. It's this one:

I finally dropped off my bag of donations at the Sue Ryder shop, and had a bit of a browse. A lovely handmade in India silk scarf for only £2 (not stuffed in any shoes
). These are great for making silk pillowcases but this one is so colourful that I may just use it as a scarf for now. I also picked up a pair of brand new (no tags) pink sallopettes for £4 with the aim of selling them on. There was a used pair on micolet which looks like they were listed for £40 but sold for £14, so I'll try them on eBay. https://www.micolet.co.uk/trousers-women/maui-sports/136823

(hanging my head in shame)
I bought 2 art books - how to watercolour ones. 2 for £1. I only wanted the one but basically had to take a second one didn't I?
The shame is that I should stop buying and reading these books and actually spend time practicing painting. But the pictures in the books are much better than mine.....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. The infernal device! All my notes lost, dashit. Harrumph & back to as far as I recall, with bonus Denby Book researches! As for why some of you are properly named & others not, my apologies - I tried!.@Cherryfudge - I won't go into how many minutes it took me to find the blinking post, but I felt I had to explain the hallelujah Pyrex reference!..@Coxy11 - where Denby is concerned, do as I do and Cheat! I have this link as a favourite on my phoneWhether it'll help fundraising I couldn't say but at least you have an idea of How Recent & just What as people buy their pattern (eg "Denby Imperial Blue large jug 1 pt") more willingly than "Denby jug"...@Brie - I do admire a man with exquisite taste in fine chinaware supplied from discerning charity shop purchases. Congratulations! Eugh - scarves only belong near feet for very specific & consensual situations - can you not explain to the shop they are Losing Sales by this bizarre proximity? (Somewhere there's an "influencer" thinking they are So Cool - bah! Wasteful and foolish...)@tooldle - that is Denby Greenwheat & it is something of a Marmite pattern as some adore it, others loathe it & dealers seem to enjoy having heaps of it but demanding vast sums per piece. As for the shape, yes, glorious & there are Other patterns (like Dovedale & Peasant -) which have the same curves, a more robust glaze (that white can show Every bump) and will in fact be a shorter production run & thus actually more rare & interesting - but then I am a (largely) Greenwheat nein danke Denbyholic!@C_J - ooh Duplo! Um, just don't steam sterilise it? Milton tablets are your friend instead. Please do not ask me How I Know. Boutique children's wear, priced by someone who just doesn't get it - hoping you lugged away a capsule wardrobe & a Huge Grin?@Rosa_Damascena- I have plans to curl up with a brew & The Miniaturist this weekend, just son has guest coming so uproar as we tidy "public" areas!@ch3shirecat4 - whilst mildly resenting the competition, I am Delighted to see the young in charity shops - they're learning to appreciate better quality, planet saving & money saving... There's a very canny mum on this board whose daughter picks her preferred clothing in charity shops - imagine dressing a toddler without a rumpus?! My lads having been hauled in & out of charity shops in pushchairs on do realise they can save Huge on books & DVDs & CDs etc & on one holiday went to a charity shop for replacement shoes! One son views them as a source of reference images - given that he's a fiend to drag out of museum shops, I haul him into More Charity Shops in hope that poor budget can survive another month. He doesn't play by the "just a cup of coffee" rule! (I have explained it.)8

First visit to the temple to chazza shopping that is st Gemma's in otley since Christmas, the haul included a sleeveless per Una top, a crew clothing long sleeved blue striped top, a m&s good move hoodie which when I look online suggest it is long line relaxed yoga hoodie which is £35, a pair of next trousers. A Wallis jumper & a Zara cardigan for a friend. Can't remember else I got, might update later with a picture of the haul & an update of what else I brought that I can't remember
I also pickup a hario drop coffee filter for 99p which is £8.99 on Amazon the only difference is on Amazon it has a pack of papers.
I also picked up 2 jigsaws one is of the flying Scotsman.
Also picked up Delia smiths complete cookery course, my mum had a much loved copy in the 80's & 90's when I was growing up it was only 50p. I spent the grand total of £10.91
I don't tend to get the bargains Miro does as I am plus sizes so less choice than smaller sizes.6 -

Popped into Hull yesterday aft to buy a shed and some stuff for the garden. Came home with these instead 🤪The box of smellies is for my friend, her favourite fragrance. It’s a jewellery box when the stuff’s been used.Books and skirt are for me so are strictly rentals and therefore don’t count.I'm unsure about my spine, I think it's holding me back.5
