I had a good session at my favourite Havens this weekend: another knitted shawl, fuschia dress, sturdy leather handbag and Past Times bookmark for £10.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.8 -

As a teenager, I remember going to a huge boot fair, which even had helicopter rides and my uncle took me on one. My mother sold her grandmother's dinner service and later found it for sale in an antiques shop in Canterbury.
Husband hates doing boot fairs and not keen on walking round them either.
I have picked up some bargains at braderies in the South of France. I have seen the term braderies used in Kent, as well.9 -

I always thought that flea markets sounded strange to me when I was younger. Boot sales probably sounds weird to people in other countries. I am on another forum apart from this one and there are lots of Americans so I am used to US slang now. I was craving a roast dinner as they keep talking about what they are having for Thanksgiving.
I had a good haul yesterday. A set of purple chenille gloves and scarf for £3 and a long Per Una purple cardigan for £3. Some NOEL cubes for Christmas decor for £2.
I looked at the £1 rack and found a Boohoo checked shirt and a Next cream jumper. I was looking suspiciously at the Next jumper as it had tags on, but it had no marks or anything!8 -

I nipped out this lunchtime and bought a Purple Ronnie mug in pristine condition for 50p, its gone straight into the DW. Prices on Fleabay for this item are just silly.
Btw - what do you do for roast dinner? IIRC you are vegan so am interested in hearing which part you are craving. (I am veggie and can take it or leave it).No man is worth crawling on this earth.

It is mainly roast potatoes I crave when I think of roast dinner. I do like stuffing too. Mmm stuffing sandwiches the day after.
I might have to make roast spuds soon!2025 GOALS

Nothing much doing around my home turf this week. Just picked up an O/S Landranger map in the Otley Oxfam shop for £1.99. I'm sure I've seen maps for 50p in other shops but this was just what I need for an over Chrimbo stay in Devon. Yikes!! just looked on Amazon at the maps....when did maps get sooooo expensive new???9

Tell me about it @Miró - I've had to buy many maps for my JoGLE walk as just couldn't get on with the OS app. Given we were remote for the first section in the Highlands I was too nervous to take the chance of not have a signal or draining my phone battery. I think maps are the single biggest outlay after accommodation - not even joking.
I got a Next grey jumper with sequin star for £4.50 from CR on Saturday. It was with the regular clothes as opposed to on the Christmas jumper rack. The cuffs have silver lurex running through them, so very understated. Wearing it now in fact!
