Fate intervened yesterday afternoon as I was on a journey in the form of a free parking space right outside my second favourite chazzer . I bought a decorative butterfly and 2 small card holders, 4 books and 3 mugs that looked sparkly and unused, including one to celebrate my 50 years on the planet for a total of £3.



I'm going to have to reign it in a bit now, I have visited chazzer on 5 days in the last week and much as I love it, its possible to have too much of a good thing.

I visited 6 charity shops yesterday but after my huge declutter while Mr F was in hospital - I only look for what I am going to use. So yesterday - I spent only £2. I bought a child's dress and a ladies blouse to cut up for rag doll dresses.

Off topic I know @Florenceem - but how is your husband now? 

Again completely off-topic but I am making the most of the sun that comes into my kitchen and drying out rose heads / petals. Not quite sure what I am going to do with them, aside from using them as decorative touches - any ideas?

I'm going to look in charity shops next week for winter clothes as summer feels like it is coming to an end.

@Rosa_Damascena. Love the flutterby….is it a brooch?

Bit of an odd one this……mooching around one of the chazza shops in Northallerton today and came across a needlework bag with contents.  Inside was an almost complete cross stitch picture on a very fine guage Aida fabric.  Someone must have spent hours and hours and hours working on it.  It had the working pattern and all the threads with it.  I just could not leave it unfinished like that after all that effort so had to buy it for £3.  I used to do cross stitch yonks ago but never anything on this scale or so fine so it is going to be a challenge to complete it……just the bottom right hand corner to finish……wish me luck!

Rosa_Damascena - he is still on anti seizure medication and now walks with a stick. Mental health visit each month. I keep a close eye on him.

You can incorporate them into paper and make cards out of the paper.
Pot pourri?  (how ever you spell it....)
ummmm.....dance down the high street spreading petals and joy????

Small spend today 1 x large sequinned make up bag which is now housing my ‘chub rub’ shorts and tights, 1 x RNLI mini bag, 1 x laundry bag for delicates for the grand total of £1.50! Also came home with a lovely glass trifle bowl. For £5. Very heavy and very sparkly.
