Cherryfudge said:Good hunting again at Woodfield car boot: Joules, Joe Brown and New Look sweatshirts, £1 each. Comfy shoes, £3 and a necklace and matching bracelet, £1.
DH went to the Flea market nearby and bought a painting (£20) and an antique book (£2) so we are both happy.6 -
@Coxy11, fabulous fundraising!
@Miró, we parked at the flea market and walked to the car boot as the queue to get in was long. I think I saw the Denby, and there was an old set there as well that I didn't recognise but which turns out to be 'Troubadour'.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I like your bowls Goldfinches, and that Tupperware really is clever eh!I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5

Morning all! Ah Denby Troubadour, yes, great shapes to hug. (My two teapot tests - can I lift it full and can I hug it?)
Splendid Pyrex earning for charity Coxy11!.6 -
This week has been a real chazzer-success story and a rather long posting, here goes:
During the week inhaled 3 in a whistle-stop tour. The CRUK yielded some cute tins for storing teabags, a storage box for toiletries for 25p and a small magnetic game which I shall use to introduce my little niece to French when I can find where I put the darn thing!
Then a private chaz that was more like a jumble sale - saw a tray like this (but larger and with 4 compartments) which was mine for £1:
On to another where I bought a BN pack of wine-pourers:
The coup was a deliberate diversion to my second favourite chaz where I bought a fine bundle of bits, including 4 long melamine trays (suitable for multiple teacups), 3 scarves (one BNWT) and 3 pairs of blinging earrings for a total of £5:
Yesterday I went to a chaz-furniture outlet in Rayleigh and treated myself to this ginormous glass candle holder with tea light insert for £9 (I bought similarly-styled small ones during a trip to Turkey) so years back. Will match my sitting-room decor - which I am naming my "sun room" because it is designed to be golden all year round- perfectly.
Also was lucky enough to find this for £1. Its in vgc and fits over my Mum's sink perfectly, which will be so handy when rinsing down home-grown mint from the garden and other bunches of herbs which she buys in bulk to wash and freeze (unlike me, she is a cook!).
@Wednesday2000 - The Cornerstone was closed before 12pm yesterday and the big Harp that sold furniture is having a 1/2 price closing down sale. Aah well, it was nice whilst it lasted. Feeling a little chaz-deficient, I took a trip to my favourite chaz with Mum that afternoon, picked up 4 items of clothing for a £10 which disappointingly will all go back. But I did get another Gin Lover's jigsaw puzzle (in blue, pictured alongside my existing one in pink) to bring my collection up to 2.
Back to my second favourite chaz on the way home, picked up a dusky rose jacket for spring / autumn (to add to the 20+ that I already have), 4 more books, a Lakeland silicone number mould (listed as discontinued and £1.29) and another scarf, again for £5:
^^Recalling this little lot is a bit like being on The Generation Game!!No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -

^^Recalling this little lot is a bit like being on The Generation Game!!Wow @Rosa Damascena I was exhausted just reading all that! Love the large candle holder especially!Do we have any Radley experts here please? Found me a beige cross body bag in the CRUK shop in Northallerton this afty priced at £15. Seems well made and has the metal doggy tag inside. The sides and strap are obviously leather but the back and front appear to be some sort of plastic coated fabric? Is this right?8 -
Lovely selection of items there @Rosa_Damascena I particularly like the glass tealight holder.I went to a boot fair today. Bought a Denby troubadour large jug for £3, an Elizabeth Arden dusting powder box in original packaging £2, a set of Next stacking espresso cups/babyccino cups for £1, a BNWT Whittard of Chelsea Confetti mug for £1, an ELC double decker bus with figures (and sounds…..) for £1 and a Percy Pig musical Christmas tin for £1. All are now listed on Bay of E for charity. I think the EA dusting powder trinket will be my Best Buy. Can’t see the PP tin making much but you never know.I left a Pyrex Chelsea large mixing bowl as it had a tiny chip on the handle/pouring spout. Also left a Pontesa ironstone vintage coffee pot - went back for it but saw a crack through the handle unfortunately.Have just had bids on two previous boot fair finds - 3 x Royal Doulton Morning Star dinner plates and 3 x side plates. I bought these plus 3 x tea plates at the same boot fair in May for £2 the lot. Currently bidding for £9.99 and £7.99 respectively plus postage (think they are the same buyer so will combine). Charity fundraising now stands at £12,200 😊❤️Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings9

@Rosa_Damascena, that's a truly extraordinary set of finds! I particularly like the gold glass... there's a lot to be said for a sunny room.
@DigForVictory, @Coxy11, what a shame neither of you is local, I'd help you track down the Troubadour items I saw yesterday. DigForVictory, that's the best method I've come across for choosing a good tea pot!
@Miró, I really don't know how you d it!I'm not a Radley expert but I do like that bag. Hopefully someone knowledgeable will confirm it but even if they don't, it's still very tasteful and you're bound to enjoy using it.
