  • I was thinking about coloured light bulbs a few days ago. I went through a phase of having blue light bulbs in my bedroom when I was a teenager. My group of friends all had the same thing and we all painted our bedrooms white too. I painted my bedroom floorboards black for some reason! Strange, no idea who had the idea first or why! :D

I added a re chargable lightbulb to a standard lamp giving me a standard lamp that stands in a corner of the room where there is no plugs for very little cash.   I mention it as it is a great way of adding light to corners for very little.  My local charity shop often has lamp bases and lampshades, just waiting for them to get a large one to replace the black one currently on the standard lamp that was just £5.  I really wanted a lampshade, so I bought that (it is large) and will return for a more fitting one when they have one.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
