The EBSS payments have been credited as a top up.

The Total top ups made shows a total of £639, however, this includes the three Energy Support Scheme payments as well

So if we take off these, it shows a total of £440 of top ups made by yourself.

which sounds as though they are disregarding them when it comes to the OP's energy costs? If they were using them to divert more of the OP's own contributions to the account towards the debt, that could be understandable, but that doesn't appear to be what's happening either.

Are the ESS payments only discounted for debt repayment? From the 15th October to the 15th November, I make it that you made £120 in top up payments. Realise this still doesn't match 10% debt repayment of £22. (Top ups were £140 if looking at 17th Oct to 17th Nov)

There is also something confusing about the different dates used for the bill, wrt to usage, meter reads and debt repayments. What date was the bill issued? Standing charges are usually paid in advance, but meter reads can only be checked in arrears. Obviously with a prepayment plan, you need to have the money on the account before the meter can be read.

The meter reads are from the 15th of the month, but the price changed on the 1st October. Surely there should be a meter read associated with that price change? Did your emergency use go over this 1st October price change?

Sorry if I have misunderstood something fundamental to prepayment tariffs.

No, the unit cost per KW/h on the meter is slightly higher than what's shown on the bill this is why the EC etc. is misleading.

here's the meter cost as of now  which shows 32.07 pKWH whereas the bill shows 30.54 pKWH
The meter shows the VAT-inclusive price whereas the bill shows the price without the VAT which is added on at the end.
That makes so much more sense that what bulb told me !
