Morning all.
Valli, glad you have a week off chemo and can enjoy the holiday weekend without interruption x
I didn't quite manage all of my list yesterday, but I did most of it - and I went shopping! After the nurse at the GP surgery had given me a thumbs up, DS1 took me to our lovely local greengrocers-!!!!!!-flower-shop to buy a gift (hyacinths) for our NDN, and then I got my exercise for the day by pushing the trolley round MrAl's while DS1 reached high and low and moved all the heavy stuff. He unpacked everything when we got home and then put it all away exactly where I wanted, and also opened my parcel that came yesterday (7.2 kg, so well beyond my current capability) and set up the contents. We are now very well prepared for expected and unexpected guests/bad weather/siege/just slobbing at home
Meanwhile DH went and collected his car from the repair garage which DS1 uses, where it had been investigated for nasty noises. They couldn't find anything wrong, apart from the fact that he had winter tyres on the front wheels only, which sometimes squeal on cornering, and an octopus-type phone charger rattling around in the compartment just in front of the gear stick - and they made no charge at all for a couple of hours' work. They are definitely getting our custom as soon as the dealership servicing plans on our cars come up for renewal!
Today's flying schedule:
- brush Rosie before she goes out with the dog walker, and probably again when she comes home
- delegate hoovering all through downstairs to DH
- send DH to PO for cash
- WMx2
- finish wrapping presents
- register guarantee for new toy
- prep lunch for us and friend J, who is bringing the soup
- ask J to help me FUPA the clean bedding from Tuesday (currently on the airer)
- test out the new toy for this evening's meal
- send e-cards to colleagues and overseas friends
Hope everyone has a good day. Please don't panic - everything will be fine xxx

My list is done. Apart from the things I forgot to put on the list, which I will no doubt remember once we are half way down the M3 this afternoon and fret about.
Had a shower.
Car is almost loaded.
Kitchen looks ok ish, Mr N just swept the floor. Fridge emptied of anything perishable in the next 5 days.
Bird feeders filled.
Will hoover hall and lounge after lunch.
Most of my bag is packed other than wash bag to go in after lunch.
2 lots of flower presents and 1 table centrepiece done so I'm going to put them here and I would love to do each of you an arrangement but you'll have to have the virtual ones. Sorry if I'm hogging the photo space with boring/samey photos - promise that will be it till maybe Easter! To all of you a very happy festive season and those of you for whom it won't be as you hoped, or people are missing, I hope it will be as good as it can be. Doubtless I'll lurk on various devices but next on the non-list is lunch, a few minutes on a report then down to Dorset via my drum lesson.

YL.. sometimes the newly qualified are so much better.. being current in their knowledge and still willing to listen and learn.. unlike the GP we have been having to deal with trying to get a new insulin prescription for the pump, we have so far had 3 prescriptions for insulin the first 2 were wrong and the third is the right insulin but only enough for 3 days.. which takes us to the 24th and the surgery reopens on the 27th. Boog just collected his new insulin, there is enough for 2 weeks.
Nails sorted.. and a nice peaceful walk home..
Pixie has not been in the bath as instructed..
Amaz0n delivery made so that is most of my mothers stuff here.
I need to sort a bag of ear defenders and snacks for panto.
Dealing with DD1 drama today..

Flylady cards received here as well. Thank you everyone, and thank you Natty for doing all the organising.Christmas cake iced, looks almost presentable in a rugged kind of way, spare icing dolloped on the scruffiest of the mince pies.Last stint at Foodbank completed for me pre-Christmas - they're rushed off their feet, over 200 fed yesterday, and there's another session tomorrow. All the vouchers are up to date, all of the Stock Out up to date, all Stock In up to date up to 19th which was an absolute marathon and I've bought the rest home to add up over the 12 Days of Christmas. We thought we'd be down this year on donations - there have been so many, and so much, we're stacking it in the café area, several crates high. Such a relief that there will be enough to see us through the bleakest time of year, January, Febuary and March. People are very generous, private individuals, local companies, schools, community groups, churches, through the supermarket donation baskets, they're coming in from everywhere. I've been doing this work for five years and I've never seen anything like this before. Amazing.GP appointment decluttered (oops, cholesterol) and physio appointment decluttered. It is helping enormously with my ankle which is still quite stiff but improving all the time.Tomorrow we will go and get the turkey from the farm where it has been raised from an egg in a palatial barn now that we're not allowed to free-range because of bird flu. Normally, George, who is a big boy turkey, greets us as we trundle down the potholed drive but sadly he won't be allowed to this year.Better is good enough.9
