Quick flutter by…..I have hardly put my head up at work, I swear that I have done the work of 3 men today. Well definitely the 3 men in my line of sight at the office (and there are only 5 altogether…) that is…
Just got home and ta-da, ‘tis the day of not only Flycards, but Secret Santa too! Thank you so much, one and all. And especially to Natty and Honeybear for all their organising.
Narc0, just beautiful. I thought I liked the first one best, then I saw the second one, then the third, now I don’t know! They are all beautiful.
I suppose that I had better cook dinner - DD has gone out and is staying overnight. I will relax a bit once I know she is there ok. DH says that he is doing his tax return. Any excuse not to take a turn in the kitchen.8 -
Thanks to everyone for my Flycards, and especially to Natty for organising xxx
My friend J brought a very tasty minestrone soup for lunch and stayed until about 3.30, after which I fell asleep, so I haven't done absolutely everything on my list - but I did prioritize.
Tomorrow I want to
- book a table for a meal with DD&co next week
- cook a chicken in the SC
- make shortbread for DS1 and a chocolate log for DGS3+4: I've already told DH that I will need him to help with lifting the bowl
- bake jacket potatoes for DDiL2 and DGS3+4 who are visiting us on heir way south (DS2 is working right up to and including Christmas Day)
- enjoy their company8 -
Been at the paid stuff.
Been to Morrisons for pre-ordered groceries and picked up a whole salmon YS to £7. I have filleted it, cut into steaks, portioned out, labelled it and popped it into shed freezer. Enough for 8 meals for 2 and there are also some unfilleted bits which will go into a fish pie.
Wm x 1 (towels) and TD x 1 (also towels) all om E7

Hi all
Narco I love your flower pics, they always make me smile.
Paid stuff finished, found out something today that I sort of wish I didnt know because I am going to have to deal with it at work in the New Year, but I am parking that for now. Laptop shut down and I will just check my mobile a couple of times next week in case of something urgent.
DS1 turned up unexpectedly with laundry hamper, holdall, dart board and presents, so that's him home for Christmas. I am lucky to have them both home and I am determined to enjoy it.
The house is a tip, I am not used to the amount of stuff that comes with 5 of us being here, but I am trying to be chilled. DSs laundry is over the airer with the dehumidifier running.
Gin and crisps currently being decluttered.9 -
Morning all
Sorry to be an absent flylady over the last weeks, will try to do better! Paid stuff now done until 03Jan other than 1 day next week where I need to be on call. My mega list got finished so pleased about that.DH has been off since Weds and has tackled the house, it’s all good enough for me! Today is long drive day as I head to see family just for the day, back this evening.
Tree etc is finally up, all presents wrapped and cards done. Pile of gifts will be decluttered today along with some other things I’ve been keeping for my sister. Flying will be limited to prepping supper and loading the DW when I get home this evening.
take care all xx8 -

Good morning my lovelies xx
Christmas Eve Eve it is then. I'm wondering. Does anyone anywhere feel 'Christmassy'? I think maybe Pops does as he's been to so many Christmas lunches and parties in the last couple of weeks. He's even put up a little tree (fibre optic) that he found in a cupboard....first time he's done so since Mum died 4 years ago. But everyone else I know seems 'flat' iykwim.
I've explored a drawer under my bed this morning...just to get an idea what was in it. Oooo. I do have some lovely things. 🤣. Plan is to remove contents and repurpose that drawer as the 'Christmas' drawer. A project for 2023. As luck would have it there were 3 gift bags in there... they have been retrieved and added to the stash which will mostly be used up this weekend when I drop off presents.
My priority for today was to pick up my prescription- but I did that last night so I'm home alone gathering my spoons ready for two days peopling. Ho ho ho. And all that jazz 🙂
Love to all

I don't think I've ever actually bought gift bags, yet I have a huge stack of them. 2023 will be a decluttering year I think.
Not been feeling the slightest bit xmassy, tbh I'm eager to get it all over with and start the New Year, probably as I have 2 weeks off work from 3rd Jan (my b'day is the 4th). Zero plans for my time off yet, my brother and dad are down for a few days, but that's as far as planning has gone.
Hmmm I better make sure the house is cleaned thru before they 'land'...
