Back for Take Two…but on the plus side that gives me more flying to report on as the wm is back on again 😉. Hair has been decluttered, empty wheelie bin brought back in (after DH forgot to put it out this morning, his only household job…). Bedding changed so that there is a queue forming for the wm.
Anxiety levels have been creeping for a while as I had convinced myself that yesterday’s horsepiddle appointment for DD was going to be bad news, exactly 2 years after the last bombshell. Long story short, we are good to go until the next appointment.
DH has gone to the office. DD has driven out to meet a friend in small town. I find myself unusually alone in the house. Hmmm, I ought to fly…it’s not like I don’t have a choice of jobs to tackle.

That's good Fayolle.
I have done dailies, walked dog, popped to local shop, changed bedding, freshened sofa covers, scrubbed kitchen sink and hoovered through. Still not 100% so mopping will have to wait.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
So sorry anxiety is haunting you Fayolle. (((Hugs)))*Healing vibes* for Valli and Ionafan.24 mince pies baked, 3 scoffed between Belovéd and I - quality control. We're hosting the Residents' Association AGM tonight so I couldn't have just shoved them on the table without tasting them, could I? They were rather nice, all thanks to Delia, and I'm saying that as someone who really dislikes the shop bought ones. Also made a couple of cheese and onion flans for tonight's supper and to go into the freezer for instant quick suppers when life gets too hectic.I've worked out what to do about the fact that I still haven't written my Christmas cards, and will do so later this afternoon, after we've gone out to buy the two lads we're hosting on Christmas Day their presents. One wants a plant, the other wants an art print for his studio wall. They've just moved into a very run down house near us and are frantically earning as much as they can doing minimum wage jobs to buy polyfilla and paint to make the house habitable. Neither of them has a good relationship with thir families so although they're both sort of mid-twenties they're a bit like lost boys. They are however, both very kind and gentle people, intelligent and immensely likeable. Not much else done on the Flying front. My feet hurt.Better is good enough.11

@Fayolle Just sit down and relax. You've been running on empty for far too long. Prioritise and delegate. Surely your DH can do something to help when he gets home (or even tomorrow), to make amends for forgetting his one job? And your DD is quite capable of pulling her weight too, though I know you want to spoil her - especially with such good news from the horsepiddle
Loads of flying going on here today - the house is being cleaned from top to bottom, but not by me. I have been plying K with scones and cake to boost her energy levels! She is also going to hoover out her own car while she's here: she lives in an upstairs maisonette and hasn't got an extension lead long enough to run out to her parking space.
I put a load of bedding in the WM and would love to line dry it, but I can't lift my arms that far, so the TD is on again ££££
DH has taken his rattly car in for repair (we hope); DS1 brought him home and will take him back to collect the car when it is ready
Now that my parrots have begun to work I am going to SOFA....10 -
Aww thank y’all. Did you know that you flyladies are all quite lovely 💕.
Don’t tell Iona, but I did trail the vacuum cleaner around the house to pick up the mess that decorating Christmas trees makes. Then I made inroads on a piece of admin that could quite easily have started croaking if not nipped in the bud. I have one more (smaller) admin piece to tackle before the end of the year, then I will have achieved the 3 things that I set out to do a couple of months ago.All cards done, all presents wrapped (apart from the ones that have got held up in transit), all knitting finished. I can’t believe that I have just written all that and it’s not even midnight on Christmas Eve.10 -
Well done Fayolle. While you were doing all that, I fell asleep!Spend less now, work less later.10

All presents wrapped. All wrapping paraphernalia put away.
Arranged to visit DB and DSil to drop off presents - Christmas Eve afternoon. Waiting to hear from H to arrange meet for coffee.
Been in touch with supervisor to arrange return to work on 28th December. She has suggested that I work half days the first week, then 75% days the second week. I then have a week's Annual Leave, and will return to full days after that. That feels doable.
I've fed the birds and put out the recycling. I've paid the gas bill - quarterly on receipt of bill.
Priority tomorrow is WUDUPA!!!!

Round so glad you have a plan and feel up to going back. You must promise not to think too much about the 28th before it comes around xx
Glad the hospital news is good Fayolle. I know where you are coming from with the memories, DS started chemo on 24th December 2019, hard not to think about it xx
So ... 11 hours at the paid stuff yesterday. Worked until 3pm today then went to the library and post office, and then to Li@l for yet more food, I must plan this better next year. Shopping put away, kitchen tidied, our bed changed so I can hopefully put washing out tomorrow, dusted and hoovered around. DS2 made curry for tea.
I have a hospital appointment tomorrow, nothing serious but I could be there for up to 4 hours so will try and do a bit of work either side of the appointment. Roll on Thursday when work is done for the holidays.10
