Thank you. I will have a look into Family Tree Maker. Otherwise, I may need to document thinks quickly.MouldyOldDough said:LessImpecunious said:If you cancel a subscription you keep all the data, so you will see for each person what records you've attached, and any notes you've made in the description boxes, plus which record/source they relate to (assuming you've attached them), but you won't be able to look at the actual attached sources/records (e.g., census, wills, parish records)...Until/unless you resubscribe with a paid subscription...I believe that any records that you downloaded during a subscription with Ancestry - continue to be viewable ON your account - just NO new records....You can if you have downloaded the images to FAMILY TREE MAKER - That is independent to Ancestry and you can view the actual records even though your Ancestry has run out !I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0 -

I have bothAlternatively - you can create a GEDCOM file from your tree and import this file into MYHERITAGE.COM to produce free reports !

I converted to Family tree maker a few years back (from legacy family tree which I had used for decades) precisely because it links to tree on ancestry and if you update online you can then sync with offline tree. Its pretty good. Sometimes Myheritage have a few free colourising samples and there are other programs also (for example Pixbim colorsurprise AI, currently 40 dollars) that do that. I found the animating one on Myheritage creepy! HTH

MyHeritage has offered the 40% discount this year with my having to play the cancellation game. I really do not like this new world where we have to haggle.
