If you cancel a subscription you keep all the data, so you will see for each person what records you've attached, and any notes you've made in the description boxes, plus which record/source they relate to (assuming you've attached them), but you won't be able to look at the actual attached sources/records (e.g., census, wills, parish records)...Until/unless you resubscribe with a paid subscription...

I believe that any records that you downloaded during a subscription with Ancestry - continue to be viewable ON your account - just NO new records....

You can if you have downloaded the images to FAMILY TREE MAKER - That is independent to Ancestry and you can view the actual records even though your Ancestry has run out !
Thank you. I will have a look into Family Tree Maker. Otherwise, I may need to document thinks quickly.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

FTM costs an extra £80 by the way but allows you to run plugins such as Family book creator (extra £60) to produce professional reports ! I have both
Alternatively - you can create a GEDCOM file from your tree and import this file into MYHERITAGE.COM to produce free reports !

I converted to Family tree maker a few years back (from legacy family tree which I had used for decades) precisely because it links to tree on ancestry and if you update online you can then sync with offline tree. Its pretty good. Sometimes Myheritage have a few free colourising samples and there are other programs also (for example Pixbim colorsurprise AI, currently 40 dollars) that do that. I found the animating one on Myheritage creepy! HTH

  • MyHeritage has offered the 40% discount this year with my having to play the cancellation game. I really do not like this new world where we have to haggle.

  • Just renewed my ancestry at £89.99 for 12 months WORLDWIDE again

Oooh, I'll have to check, did you phone or have a link?

Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens

Clear all cookies & history  from your browser to ensure that it does not work as an "upgrade to a present account" and go to :https://www.ancestry.co.uk/checkout/MLI?flow=3&rType=11[
This gives you a huge discount on a £59.95 UK only account for 12 months
I am unsure how this worlks - because the link NOW fails for me - try copying and pasting it in to your browser - all that I know is that it worked for me last week
I have a shortcut on my desktop to the link - but the address is wrong when I try using properties

  • My account review now says

    "Review

    Premium membership
On 29 January 2024, your membership will change to a yearly Premium membership and you will be billed £59.99. Renews automatically every year at £119.99, beginning 29 January 2025.

Your annual Worldwide membership will remain active until this change."

This implies that I have another year at £59.99 - unless I am misreading ?
