Exactly.  It worked!  Nothing to do right now.

Back on track as normal so come back when you get a hearing date, to do a strong WS (examples are in the NEWBIES thread).

    Thankyou.
1 last question.  Apart from 4 of his PCN's all the others (from the date of the 'offence') are now over 6 years old.  Does this mean they shouldn't still be chasing them now or does that not count as they are taking him to court?

They have six years to bring a claim.
If the do that, then the process can continue past that six year point.

That is a shame.  Thankyou for your answer.  Will be back in touch when he gets a hearing date.

Hi me again.   I would appreciate some advice regarding the witness statement when it comes to it.  Once my husband gets a hearing date is a template for the WS issued to him to complete?  I have had a look at some of the example WS in the NEWBIES thread and they look long and complicated and I am now worrying about what he is going to put.  He has so many PCN's does he just do 1 WS to cover all of them?  Feeling overwelmed by it all at the moment as I know this step is really important.

Advice regarding witness statements (and indeed everything) is in the NEWBIE sticky.  Witness statement exemplars will be found if you go to the NEWBIE sticky and scroll down until you come to: -
WITNESS STATEMENT - EASY STAGE - YOUR 'STORY' & EVIDENCE
This is a simple stage. It's your story & evidence.

Read some of the WSs there and you can use them as examples of style and format.  The WSs MUST back up and support the defence as filed.  Templates are not issued by the court. Each WS should cover one defence, unless the claim is for multiple PCNs under the same claim number and on one defence, in which case one WS could be used providing that each claim number is clearly referenced in the WS.

    No.

The examples aren't complicated. It's a very easy stage.  Our examples are there to use.

Just found out my husband did end up completing an N244 form to get the judgment in default reversed.  This has cost £275 and they have taken this off the amount he owes.  Basically paid them to do the CNBC's job properly.  Can he add this expense to his WS?

I don't understand. Who is 'they'?

Exactly to whom did he pay £275?

So bit of confusion with this he says he completed an N244 form and sent this off.  Ignore the bit about taking the amount off the total, he read somewhere that this gets removed from the amount if he has to pay anything to the courts after all this is over.
