i think that some might not want to as they maybe haven't been keeping up monthly.
to those i would say it doesn't matter if you only save 50 or a hundred it's still an achievement so don't feel you shouldn't post.

I agree. Any savings are an achievement so just because you are not on target or don’t feel you can keep up with some others don’t feel you can’t join in.

    @enthusiasticsaver.
I bought my friend a tin and savings chart for Christmas last year she absolutely loved the idea and bought 3 members of her family tins etc.
I asked her yesterday how her challenge was going ,so all started well but they all stopped she lasted the longest though!  Any savings is a positive the cost of living hasn't helped! I think people get on board in the new year with good intentions but life gets in the way.
Thanks for all your hard work it's very much appreciated.

Yes, I think you are right.  It is easy to get demoralised if you fail to keep on target but any savings should be celebrated.

Yes you can join midway.  All savers welcome here.  How much is your overdraft and do you have a target in mind or are you just going to aim for as much as possible?

Morning all and happy Friday! I too feel like this month has dragged on for ages @enthusiasticsaver!

I think I've kept motivated as I'm doing the random number picker thing. It's become a daily habit to hit the 'generate number' button on the app. Yes I do realise how sad that sounds. I've had notification this week that I'm getting voluntary redundancy. No terms have been disclosed yet, but likely exit date is 30 November so this savings pot will come in handy. Agree that any amount saved is better than none - keep going everyone.

This week my random number picker gave me:
    158, 117, 204, 20, 32, 79 and 57 = 667 so £6.67 going into the pot.

    #45 new total is £362.32

Thanks as every to @enthusiasticsaver for running this challenge x

Sorry to hear you are to be made redundant @Coxy11 and hope you find something quickly.  At least you have a few months though and having some savings behind you.

Yes the random number picker sounds interesting and I think I may do that next year.  Do you do the transfers daily too or are you using cash? I can see how that will motivate you as I do generally just one transfer a month and then a lot of dead space until the next month.

Another dismal rainy day down here in the West Country again.  Ever since the schools have broken up the weather has been awful.  I know the gardens and reservoirs need the rain but for an outdoorsy person like me I am not a lover.  Still I am getting lots of MSE time so not all bad.

    Have a  lovely weekend everyone.

    The overdraft is £700.

Since finding this thread I have been putting bits of loose change that I can find (3 days before pay day) and have put £14.40 in so far.

My aim would be to have paid off £300 in by the end of the year.
