2023 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN Mrs SD

Thank you so much for my medal @Mrs_Salad_Dodger! It has made my day 😁
Hope you feel better soon @Millie2008_2. It must be very frustrating to have to deal with.
I went out for a run today but to be honest it was a bit much. Before December I could walk/run about 90% of 6 miles (and then walk 10%) but today tackled 4 miles and it has exhausted me completely. I don't know if it is just the low iron or because I had that cold/flu that lasted over a month but it was a real struggle. Off for a blood test tomorrow so hopefully the results will show higher iron levels, the side effects of the iron tablets are none too pleasant! No decluttering done today, going to work on box 5 tomorrow. Addicted to the Nick Knowles declutter programme and found I had missed a season so am catching up on that too. Huge hugs to everyone who needs and wants one.2024 decluttering Campaign

Hi there from somewhat sunny California - for at least the next two hours maybe. Three days of rain coming, then it is to move across country. This has been a really wet year for us.
Unfortunately, the Internet and phone are still out - and can't be repaired until they get access to a neighbor's backyard. May not be for days. The second repairman came today and actually suggested we try another company. Seems there are only a few of us left in this neighborhood on the old lines (put in in 1956) and the company doesn't seem to want to replace them. So will be looking into transferring to another company. We have already transferred our TV service (or we would have lost that too). So probably by tomorrow we will be moving things around. My big concern has been that I have had the same phone number since 1959 and want to keep it. At least we can now have the number transferred to a new company.
I did get some more decluttering done in the living room. And swept the hall (after a bowl of cat food was overturned). So it is looking better.
Did my tableware drawer too. Most of it was out anyway in the dish drainer, so emptied the drawer and washed the holder, the plastic liner, and wiped out the drawer - so progress here. Have put everything back where it belongs - probably for the first time in the last year.
Thank you Brie and Mrs. S_D for your comments about sister's father-in-law. She actually continued to go to the family reunions for several years after her husband died with her boyfriend and her brother-in-law up until about two years ago. They were always held up in Idaho. They were pretty close and she has been upset, but realizes he wasn't in the best of health. Her brother-in-law had moved from her house back to North Carolina two years ago and was in the process of moving back to Mississippi where his son and grandchild also live when his father died. Said son is marrying child's mother in February and BIL was working on moving back by then anyway. It's still along way away as distances here are huge - but the family uses the Internet a lot to keep in touch.
Keep warm this week everyone. My computer now says rain coming.18 -
Back from my travels. Very muddy weekend but DGD3 and DGD4 have had a great time at horses with DGD1 who has her own horse now. We all got very muddy. Lovely long walk with dog and stop for coffee and cake this morning and delicious dinner before we travelled home. Slight panic when DS2 realised Saturday pm that his MOT had expired 10 days ago. We were near a large city and urban area and found a garage to do it an hour later which we would never had done at home on a Saturday. Passed with flying colours thankfully. Will get back to decluttering tomorrow.

Evening everyone. Crikey the EDT really has gone turbo recently! Sending supportive thoughts to anyone needing them at the moment.Mrs SD glad the tales (or should that be tails) of the hoover loving dogs made you smile.Headed into the shed today with the aim of identifying bits for the ‘skip and chat’ day the local council and housing association are running in a week and a bit. Sadly we were thwarted in our task - looks like we solved a lot of those problems last year with our own skip. Ho hum.
We did find a few more bits for charity though and most serendipitously 😉 there is a doorstep collection due tomorrow.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Millie2008_2 said:@Keiths_Mum DD had one of those for Christmas, she loves it!
@daisy_1571 and @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, I really like it it has a calming pulsating movement when not being I interacted with. I think the reason it got pushed to the back of the cupboard was because I got it the Christmas my Dad died (He died a couple of days before Christmas) and I've found a few things I'd just put in the cupboard that year and forgot about.
Organised my painting and decorating cupboard which also holds my gift wrapping supplies. Decluttered 21 used jiffy bags, not sure why i thought i needed to save so many. Also found a bag with 6 new children's gifts. The children I initially bought these for have now outgrown them, so they will be donated to the charity shop.
3 really old pillows, will need to be binned.
Several boxes into the recycling, as well as 8 pieces from the 4th box of paperwork, 28 pieces shredded.
Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can

spent my 23 minutes going through the bird feeding stuff - now all sorted and have perfected fat balls (doing them in silicone ice cube trays) and working my way through all the out of date but not gone bad (does it go bad?!) dried fruit from mum's - cranberries, dates, sultanas and raisins - the bird cafe aka my rowan tree was very popular today
also picked up some rubbish when walking the dogs
dropped two bags at the charity shop after church having passed two microphone stands onto a sound engineer at church
and then sadly found neighbours had dumped a white bag of kitchen waste outside my gate - the bag had already been pecked open grrrr. transferred it all into a black bin bag and it's now perched on their bin - not sure what the chances of the refuse collectors collecting it but this couple is a huge problemtheir next-door neighbour has had a word
so that's quite a bit of declutteringMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Evening, just a quick post as already in bed. We have spent today stripping wallpaper off the boys room. It's 2 layers of paper and at least 3 different colours of paint. That feeling when you wish you hadn't started something.... its about half done now.
Had takeaway for tea as didn't have the energy to cook.
Checked bank earlier and refund from Mr t is showing now. It was for a phone for DS1 for Christmas so they probably had to make sure it was actually missing before doing the refund.
159-162 bin liners of wallpaper
163-167 500 emails deleted (my phone separates them in to focused and other so these are the easy 'other' ones, just select all, scan to make sure nothing looks important and then hit delete the focused probably wont go down as quick)
