Some good decluttering today. A blind I had put on FB Marketplace free has gone. Saw somebody's appeal for household items for a local family in need so out the door went 2 clothes rails, a saucepan, a lampshade, 4 glasses (all specifically requested) plus a bag of pegs, 3 jars of coffee, a bag of sugar, some teabags, some kitchen utensils and 4 cushions all of which were surplus to our requirements and I was pleased they went to people who really need them.

Started tackling the toiletry hoard and have cleared out quite a bit:
25-28 tubs of gel to curly friend
29 old t shirt with bleach stain to bin
30 shampoo that doesn't suit my hair to curly friend
31 half used conditioner I just don't like to curly friend
32 roasted red pepper soup to friend
33 hideous spicy parsnip soup to friend
34 another jigsaw to charity shop
35 almost finished body butter that smelled a bit weird to bin
I've also done a huge digital declutter of emails and documents. I have been watching declutters on YouTube and lots of minimalism videos. This weekend I intend to work on the jigsaws again, and under the spare bed. It's lots of holiday bits and there are now only 155 days until my beach holiday so I want to be ready and organised with only the essentials"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." A few more things in CS bag to be counted when they leave the house
55 broken belt binned
56 broken money box binned
23 minutes spent reorganising the freezer and listing the contents drawer by drawer. This should help minimise my grocery spend.Declutter 2023 110/520

I've come to the conclusion that cleaning/decluttering is dangerous!
Felt guilty I hadn't done anything today so while letting the dogs out I decided to tackle the stuff that had overflowed the medicine box on top the freezer. It was thick with dust and cobwebs at the back 🙈 as I picked a box up the cobwebs stuck to my fingers (huge spider fear) so I shook my hand a bit to violently and cracked my fingers off the worktop! The look on DD3s face as she realised it was my hand and I hadn't smashed something. Luckily an hour later and some ice and I think they're just a bit swollen and I also realised why my meds probably aren't working as way too many boxes with a few to a weeks worth in then where I've lost the box/forgot to take them...
On the plus side 9 items in the bin and the rest piled neatly on the worktop hoping they fit back in the medicine box once that's actually sorted. DH can clean off the top of the freezer when he comes in, I'm not risking touching another cobweb 🤣

Two whole days without rain - if they are right about tomorrow. Rain is coming back on Saturday and Sunday, maybe Monday. California definitely doesn't need more rain right now. Lots of rockslides, beaches washing away. Also one roommate has been home instead of working as her park closes on rainy days.
Internet and phone still out (6 days now). Using other roommate's Internet to visit here.
43 - went to physical therapy for shoulder. Shoulder feels much better, rest of me now hurts after all of the therapy. But I lost over a pound in the process.
44 - decluttered the download part of computer - over 500 items. When I went to delete what was in Recycle Bin, there were 1717 items in there to be removed. Lots of old school work and pictures I had downloaded and then entered in my Google Drive for use in my classes. Church bulletins from two years ago also out.
45 - 47 three more books outlined on PowerPoint ready to go
48 - read book for the Winter Reading Program. Only two more to go before I can claim a prize, since they lowered the required number of books read from 5 to 3
Hope everyone is doing okay in the rain.

Hi all, well I had to go and mention changing light bulbs didn't I. The lr bulb blew so I foraged out a new bulb and tried to do it but I am just too short. When OH was home on a break recruited to change it as the big ladders are at OHs house. Bulb changed and it blew straight away and tripped the downstairs circuit. Easily fixed and I have lamps to use in the lr but OH is going to have to check the connections in the rose, we will have to borrow some taller steps from ln as I am not doing the 15 mile trip to OHs house to pick up our ladders. OH will need daylight so it won't be done until Sunday. I brought some wood in for the log burner as it OH was freezing. continued sorting in the lr corner but mostly just putting stuff away where it lives, some binned / recycled and I now have a couple of bags to go out but it was lashing down and blowing a hooley so they will go out tomorrow.
A union froglette has landed but that will be done tomorrow.
I grabbed a 2 good 2 go box from Mr M which had a bag of potatoes, a bag of parsnips, 2 bags of onions, a bunch of bananas, a bag of apples, a bag of lemons, a wholemeal sliced loaf, 4 hot cross buns and a packet of malteser rocky road. For £3.09 not bad. All unpackef and sorted. We had the rocky road for pudding after tea
I watched 1 of the Nick Knowles things and it featured a lady who had been very ill and had turned her hand to crafting to help her get through it. The main problem was she had craft stuff all over the place. What struck me though was they were in a 4 bed house with 2 children, early 20s, but none of them had thought to turn the 4th bedroom into a craft room. Nick sorted that but I did think it was pretty obvious.
91 logs brought in, some needed chopping as they were too big. When we get some better weather I will have to sort the log store. OH just piled them all in without checking the size.
92 shopping put away rather than being left in the box on the kitchen floor
Not much but I have plans for tomorrow
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday ended up being one of those days where it rained on & off all day. DH enjoyed his travels on public transport 🙂 He got his photo of the roundel & saw a very interesting statue outside Leytonstone station.
The only pottering I did was to empty half the bathroom cabinet (with a view to cleaning & decluttering it) & quite a bit of knitting - finished the 2nd ear warmer headband & started a 3rd. Dinner was 3 different types of los which were all heated through in the oven - DDis cottage pie + cabbage, DH had last night lo pasta dish & I had the lo bolognaise pasta. A bit more space in the kitchen freezer 👏Wudupa.
79 - 82 Kitchen recycling, uu & rinsed out toilet cleaner bottle, drinks cans, paper packaging - recycled
83 Kitchen detritus binned
MadamMim2013, sorry to hear about the adverse reaction to your B12 jab. Hopefully with a bit of time resting in the TLC Carriage it will kick in properly 🤞 Good decluttering 👏
You have had an exhausting time charlies_tribe but have still managed to find the energy to do some great electronic decluttering 👏 Men can be so distrustful 🤣 Good luck with decorating the boys bedroom 🍀 Depending on how much work your DH does he might be in line for another medal 😉
Excellent decluttering mhagster 👏 Not a lot of wall to paint 🥳 but do you have to paint the doors because that is so much harder than painting walls 😉
I am rather tired so will try to get up early tomorrow & catch up with the cheerleading 🤞

Hello, thank you all for your kind words and sharing your thoughts and experiences about visiting a loved one near their end. I'm taking it all on board and processing it.Work has been mental this week, the pressure and workload is not sustainable, I will make myself ill. 2 colleagues are ill and I've attempting to cover their work, along with my own and co-ordinate a team. I have raised it as a concern so will see if anything is done to address the situation.Few frogs decluttered today:3 monthly eyecheck, there is no change to my condition which is positive.Back at slimming world and I lost 1 lb.Attended my chiropractor appointment.Collected a parcel.Did a food shop and stuck to the essentials.I have spotted lots of potential areas for decluttering but being kind to myself and not pushing myself too much as feel all over the shop this week. Will keep a tally and update when I made some headway.17

More done this week.
At least something every day which keeps up the momentum.
57-59 rubbish from a handbag including a broken pen.
60- unsubscribed and deleted another 10 emails. It is less stressful receiving less emails daily.
61-62 deleted my junk email and my recycle bin.
63-70 napkins and place mats
71 a broken clock
72 a cutlery drawer organizer which is no longer needed.
73 a filter thing which I have no idea what it's for but hasn't been needed in over a year
74 a fridge egg holder. I never keep eggs in the fridge.
75-76 tights with holes in them.
77 a table given to a friend.
78 instruction booklets recycled.

Mrs SD - Thank you for sharing your husband’s photos. I felt compelled to look up about The Terminus sculpture. It was only after doing so that I could see the three buses! Very interesting and clever. It seems I had already dealt with the 2015 file last year, however, I did find 2013 and 2014! Given the goings on of the last few years I am not surprised that I had got behind. All shredding and filing done for 2014 and I shall do 2013 today. The 2023 file is now set up ready with its plastic wallets.I also need to commence a stock take of the grocery store cupboard today so I can then put away the latest purchases.Hope the little hedgehog settles in nicely.17
