Hi chums ,nasty cold developed ever more over the weekend, so not a great deal of decluttering done yesterday Although I was knitting trousers for my Gt Granddaughters Barbie doll so I guess I'm decluttering a bit from my wool stash
I too have bee watching something old .I saw on Iplayer there was 'Making Out' with Margi Clark so I used my knitting time to watch that, and have got up to series three, part two now, right from the beginning .It was on BBC4
Its an old series from the late 80s early 90s and quite good fun to watch the different stories of these women lives. 'Queenie & Chunky' her husband are pretty funny and its great how the women roles have been taken over by their over bearing husbands.
Great role reversal I thoughtso decluttering my TiVo box could count as decluttering as I've watched some films as well that I had recorded.
Being Tuesday its coffee morning so I'm off to Dobbies for my freebie hot drink
My treat of the week recently has been their hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream its like a meal more than a drink.
I also have a £10.00 voucher I will use to buy some spring bulbs for my garden as my green fingered grandson is home this weekend and will plant them for me His back bends a lot better than minebut then its well over fifty years younger so had less wear.
I've just decluttered two bags of recycling outside, as the chaps whizz down our road just after 7 in the morning and we aren't allowed to put it out before then. Its raining aginbut not too heavy at least .
I have a library book to collect on my way home from Dobbies at lunchtime I like to double up jobs if I can when using my car, so it really make me walk a bit more ,which is good exercise, but the coffee/garden shop is too far for me to walk even with both my sticks.
I'll finish off the Barbie trousers after lunch, then hopefully get started on the little cable jumper to match it.
One good thing about knitting small clothes they get finished quickly I've made 6 outfits so far for the two little girls I did have two more, but when my decorator saw me knitting them he asked if he could buy a couple for his two little girls, and I gave him two as he was such a nice chap and tidied up daily after himself, so I said just give the little ones these as a treat he was chuffed to bits bless him, and said I reminded him of his GranI think I'm everyone Granny
I had a lovely video call from my grandson Danny in New York on Saturday and the little baby is over five months old now and grinning gummyily at everything she sees. She is also saying Mumma which thrills her Mum and my DD no end.
Right time to get a wriggle on, have a good day chums Happy decluttering

Liverpool_Anne said:I was discussing with ln another neighbour over the road, a widower who has steadily gone down hill since his wife died. He is fiercely independent but another neighbour does have a key. His brother and sil live in Derby which is quite a trek but they phone daily. A few weeks ago they phoned the key person to say they hadn't been able to get hold of him for 2 days so could she check on him. Despite having a key she didn't want to go into the house because she was frightened of what she would find.
I'm glad he was okay.2025 GOALS

My husband dropped off the bags to the charity shop yesterday. I have a blood test this morning and I will drop off some wine bottles to the recycling bin. I always feel hungry when I know I can't eat before a blood test.
I could really do with a cup of tea too as it is rainy and the windows are open downstairs as the decorator is here.
I will quickly go through my makeup and toiletries before I go out. I did buy a new mascara I saw on Youtube so I will throw away my old one and I will see if I have anything else to declutter.2025 GOALS

Aww @charlies_tribe how kind and grown up of Ds1 to offer to buy a shed for you. I'm sure he knows how much that would make a difference. If you have already decided to take him up on is offer I'm happy for you as I am many many pages behind.

@Liverpool_Anne Please make sure that the gentleman wears his alarm system 24/7, also in the shower. I'm saying this because my Aunt and Uncle (in their 80s by then) both wore an alarm bracelet, but took them off in the shower. Then, one day, my Aunt couldn't get out of the bathtub, my Uncle wanted to help her, but slipped and couldn't get up. It was their luck that my Mum called them every morning aroung 11, and was worried when they didn't pick up the phone, so my Mum and Dad and the key went to their home (2 streets away), and then called for help to get everyone up and checked out.My Mum now has an alarm bracelet. She was a bit hesitant about the keylock on the front door, but the newer systems don't damage the door and are almost impossible to break into. Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5912

Goodness LiverpoolAnne. Well done you for taking up the baton.Poor chap, what an absolutely awful scenario.
On a lighter note a few years ago I had a call from my Mum's alarm bracelet provider to say she had pressed it but wasn't responding to the phone etc. I raced over there to the next village to find her sat watching Strictly. She must have pressed the button getting up from the chair to go in the kitchen to make a cuppa before it started. She didn't hear the phone because she is deaf! at least we knew the system worked.
Lovely lunch out and a mooch round the shops with bit by bit yesterday then on to Oxfordshire to see my son and his family.
Tidy up day here today and wrap a parcel for posting. Someone was on fb asking for a tv stand as they have had a flood. The squatter at my Mum's has left one and hasn't responded to messages asking for him to collect his belongings. I have offered it, I have also given away a large mirror of his and burned his yankie candle at my house!
DD1 phoned last night. Her tenant wants the mattress off the bed moving as they have their own. Gawd. DD1 and bf have committed to buy nothing new in 2024 and as they are coming back next year and the mattress is comfy and barely used as it was on the spare bed etc etc. So we are collecting it tomorrow and putting it in my Mum's till next year. My kids haven't grasped that we are too old for lugging stuff about. I remember when I realised that my parents couldn't do what they used to when I was younger. Nice that mine still think I can solve all problems though.
Right! that's the universal word for needing to get on ,but not quite yet.
Lovely hat and scarf Mrs SD, Just my colour.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sorry I forgot to post yesterday 😔 Monday was a rather nice day being dry & unseasonably warm 🙂 Dealt with my mail then headed out early afternoon - caught the bus to CW & banked November’s PB win, popped into M&S & picked up a couple of foodie items for DSis then posted letters & caught the bus to A**a. No boxes of 50 Christmas cards so resorted to a few packs of 10, 16 or 20 cards - I have a busy Tuesday ahead writing cards & posting them off 😥 I also phoned my bank, transferred some monies to DSis & checked my accounts. Dinner was fend for yourself - DH & DSis finished off their Chinese meals from Saturday & I had a sandwich. I fell asleep on the sofa & DH sent me to bed about 01:00 whilst he did the washing up 😉 Woke up about 04:30 went downstairs & made myself a small cup of cocoa. Whilst the kettle was boiling I dupa - quietly 😉 Went back to bed about an hour later & woke up again at 11.00.

Tuesday is a very dark, damp day although it has finally stopped raining 🥳 Now I will attempt to catch up with the cheerleading 😉
Absolutely excellent decluttering & tidying QueenJess 👏 Talk about a busy Saturday 🤩 I was exhausted just reading about everything you have done 👍 Hopefully your DS tidied his room at the 11th time of asking 🤞Very well done on getting most of the ‘stuff’ (that your parents dropped off) sorted 👏
TC77, ‘wagging finger emoji’ - I will lay odds on that your table is clearer than it was at the beginning of the year 😊 Great decluttering - 10 items a day decluttered should mean that you will reach your target well before the end of the year 🥳
Excellent work Soontobeoap 👏 Going slowly is definitely not an issue as it means that each section of decluttering will only be done once 😊 Good luck for your wade down to the craft shed 🍀
Excellent decluttering Floss 👏 Grrr about the handbag 😡 - I realise that items are no longer made to last but one evening’s use is not only diabolical but also depressing & sad 😞 Please take care of the cut hand 🙏
Lovely photos vulpix ☺️ The teddy bear Christmas tree is so charming 😊 & I love the quilt - it must have taken ages & looks so professional 🤩
Liverpool_Anne, sounds like the perfect Sunday to me 😉 A couple of tasks completed & plenty of sleep 😊 Hopefully your B12 jab has started working 🤞
weenancy, the Senior Fair sounds like a great event 👏 Especially as along with all the practical advice you also get fed 😊 Again I am in awe of all the work you are doing on your family history 🤩 Sorry to hear that the husky is depressed 😔 I have absolutely everything crossed that she gets on well with the other huskies & will be in her new home before Christmas 🤞🤞🤞
Liverpool_Anne, well done on writing nearly all of your Christmas cards 👏 I still have mine to do + I need to put up the string to hang any cards we receive 😉 How annoying about the parking fine 😡 What I cannot understand is how you could possibly get out of the car park without a ticket 🤔 🤨 so for the life of me I don’t understand how the appeal failed 😣 I have a similar problem with my own name - my given first name is only ever used when I have medical appointments 😉 My paternal grandmother didn’t like the name so always used my 2nd name 😂
Excellent decluttering Happy_Kitties 👏 Hopefully your friend will acquiesce to your request 🤞 Like you if my DH wants anything he buys it himself - so usually ends up with nothing from me 😉 apart from extra cuddles 😅
Siebrie, what a brilliant idea - your own recycling centre 👏 Very impressive initiative by the Belgian government re the plastic bottle tops 🤩
I have caught up a little but am losing concentration so will be back later 🤞 Hope everyone can stay warm & dry but meanwhile I am sending lots of cwtches 😊

Another week of post catching up. Actually almost 2 weeks as started writing notes and then got lost in the weekend.
Sorry Mrs SD, I didn't get any snow pictures this time and now we are back to rain and flooding, much prefer the snow.Thank you Vulpix, we're about 45 mins away, near that Spire. I've been looking on the FB page though and there's a few DH might like if I could get my anxiety under control.Welcome back Bala.Siebrie, well done to your daughters (and you) my girs can't even make toast (14 and 15)2Scratters-thank you, still no shed yet as delivery was at least 2 weeks and the garden is a mud bath at the moment but he still says he will buy it.
Hugs to everyone feeling poorly or under the weather.
Okay, extremely busy week here. DD2 has had lots of dance rehearsals and finally her dance show on Saturday and then Sunday the dance teacher took DD2 and the rest of the junior assistants to a spa day, I stayed at my dad's while she was there as we didn't think she would cope (ASD) but she did amazing.
We have spent the week emptying the conservatory for Christmas. There are piles of atuff everywhere and a huge pile of rubbish in the hallway. We were hoping to get some in the bin but for some reason the bin didn't empty last week so we're stuck with just our half size bin for 2 weeks. A few more bits to clean and tidy and the Christmas tree and decorations can then go up. Not that I've bought a single present to go under the tree yet! Not even looking at everything crammed into every corner of every other room, will think about that after christmas. We have DD2 and family christmas day so at least the table is now accessible.
I have a huge list of things to add but going to wait until they've actually left the house.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Hi all, no decluttering done yet today but I have a list so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I do something. I have had 3 text messages from the Drs as a result of the blood test. Low vit D which is only to be expected at this time of year so I have to get some tablets for that, also low folic acid which I find surprising as I eat everything they say you should apart from the meat so I have to get some tablets for that. Prescription has been sent to the pharmacy but no point going today as they won't be ready. It does explain the tiredness though.
I have also had a text conversation with dsis who has sent me a parcel for looking after the dog. Some lovely bits from the Caribbean including some locally produced honey which I have been treated to before and is the nicest honey I have ever tasted
And a text conversation with dnephew who is now back in India watching some cricket who has sent me a voucher despite our agreeing to cancel presents this year. He has been thanked and told off. I will have to pick up something for him but he's not back in the UK until February before he sets off for a 10 month world your with Niall Horan so lots of time to sort that
. So what with one thing and another I find it is lunchtime and I have done nothing except drink tea
@London_1 I am very interested in this Dobbies free drink thing as we have a Dobbies within striking distance, how does it work? I am thinking it could be something I could avail myself of
@Wednesday2000, exactly, what was she thinking, that is what continues to confuse us all. Hopeless and her husband is just as bad, I have made it known via ln that I would have gone in if she had told anyone there was a problem but the first anyone else knew there was a problem was when the ambulance arrived in the small hours. As you say he could have died in that time.
@Siebrie I will do my best but this gentleman is fiercely independent and has already refused a stair lift and as his sil says has a habit of upsetting people. He does seem to be ok with me and OH as we just joke with him and it seems to bring him out of his funk. We have offered to do shopping etc but he has always refused our help. A key box has been fitted already.so that's good.
@Vulpix I have offered to be the contact but it all depends if he agreed so just keeping my fingers crossed he agrees as at least I would go into the house if needed.
Right as Vulpix says time to do something but not quite yet
Take care everyone

@charlies_tribe I told them they had to start cooking every weekend when they were 11. One of them is responsible for dinner on Saturday, the other on Sunday. Of course, the first year I helped them out a lot; we would pick a simple recipe, and I would figure out ingredients and do the shopping. Later, they had to let me know the ingredients on Saturday morning at the latest. Now, they have to let me know noon Wednesday the latest, because I go grocery shopping on Wednesday afternoon. DD1 (15) does most of the recipe all by herself; DD2 (12) still needs a lot of help but is coming along nicely. I make sure I'm 'around' when they are cooking, but am no longer next to them the whole time.
