Good evening. Thank you Mrs SD. After all the tears and panic attack the car was just a fuse! It's all working again now.
After the shopping arrived yesterday I went with DD1 and DGD to the Christmas Market to see santa. After 45 minutes stood in the cold DGD (21 months) was fed up and cold and screamed the place down. She didn't hesitate to take the chocolate from him though 🤣
This morning we got up to heavy snow so have done absolutely nothing all day but watch films under the blanket so no decluttering done today.
Vulpix I'm sure that looks like where my SIL watched foofighters a couple of months ago.
Love seeing snow pictures, especially when it's not been stood on, looks so magical.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Couldn't stop working on the family history for the young man whose parents came from Mexico - found several more families for him. Spent all morning reading my way through unindexed films in Spanish. Now I just have to enter it on the computer for him. Finally got Di up to go to the library with me about 1:00. Managed to do some clean-up there, then got gas in the car, bought TP and dog bones, followed by a quick grocery shop (under 15 minutes). Will need to go back and do a real shop later this week. Found 28 cents while I was out - spent more than that however, though roommate paid for the food part of the shopping. Realized that dinner tonight was almost all free - chicken from church food bank, green beans from an earlier one, and tomatoes from the free veggie box delivered last week. Just the rice paid for. G made it and it was delicious. Have a lot more chicken left from the church also. Mainly need to get some canned tuna, some fresh fish as well as more peanut butter. May not need as much as I think till the following week. Di and G have to be up early tomorrow to take G to get his eyes measured for a cataract operation while I will be having a phone appointment with my doctor. Tomorrow will also be a day for me to take care of several frogs and pay bills. Talked to my friend in Colorado - she is having really low temperatures while we are having a mini-heat wave. Only supposed to last a couple of days though.17

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Dinner was cottage pie made from scratch 😋 Wudupa
2397 - 2398 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
2399 Kitchen detritus binned
I forgot to post yesterday 🙊 Sunday was a dreary damp day although warmer than of late. Up & dressed by 09:30 so washed the bedding but had to dry in td 🙁 Spent the day knitting whilst watching a series called “The Tourist” - rather odd, then started a new one called “The Fall” starring Gillian Anderson. It does seem a bit slow so far but I will give it a chance. Another scarf is finished.
I have also finally started reading one of the Ann Cleeves books I picked up in the CS. She has a nice writing style so am already a third of the way through 🙂 Very strange that the character of Jimmy Perez was played by an actor completely opposite in looks 🤨 Dinner was gammon, egg, chips & beans for DH & DSis whilst I finished off the lo cottage pie with egg, chips & beans. Wudupa. Watched the Strictly results show even though no-one was leaving as sadly Nigel Harman had pulled out on Saturday due to injury 😔

I managed an early night as I went to bed at 01:30, read half a chapter of my book & was asleep within a few minutes after turning the light off.
Monday I woke up at 06:40, went downstairs & had a cup of cocoa whilst reading more of my book. Will post this & go back to bed 😉

@Vulpix amazing that you are within touching distance of completely finishing
Well the second week of dog sitting flew by with various things needing sorting out. The dog was sick on the bed so the cover and quilt had to be washed along with some other things. My sister's wash basket was emptied along with keeping on top of my few bits. All her clean washing was left neatly folded on her bed, as you know I don't do ironing unless it is essentialI realised while hunting for a spare quilt that while her house looks tidy, if a bit cluttered with ornaments etc. The cupboards are rammed, as are under the beds. This made me feel a bit better about the state of my house as I have far less storage than her and I know she has loads of stuff in the loft as well. I continued to work on my emails and the ACAS case is now going to a tribunal so we just have to wait for that now. I had a clean round and hoover before I left and made a veggie shepherds pie which I left in the fridge for them to heat through when their tummies were back on UK time :smiley. I wrote and posted most of my christmas cards, a few remaining as I needed to clarify with OH about them. I also sorted some of the post that arrived at my sister's which was for my nieces DH in connection with his dad who has died. He had to fly back for 4 days for the funeral which he had sorted mainly via the internet and phone. I watched the funeral online as I couldn't leave the dog for the time it would have taken to travel to London and back. That did make me feel quite sad. I am counting 30 for the things done, I have a list
.
Last Thursday I headed home, driving away from the snow but the roads were quite busy. It took just on 7 hours to get home. I just had time to unload the car, get changed and headed out to the footy. I had to run to catch the last footy bus which was hard going, can't remember the last time I properly had to run for any distance. I really should do something to get a bit fitter
. I got home about 11 starving so had something to eat and headed to bed only to find OH had been in the boiler cupboard and had moved stuff I had put in front of it so I couldn't actually get in bed. I am sorry to say I just dumped it back in a heap and fell into bed. I need to resort it as it is a lot of paperwork that needs filing and had been sorted but is a total mess now. On Friday I went to visit the pop up shop run by the pupils from the school where I used to work but I was quite restraint with the purchases, some lovely gift tags that I don't really need but I like to support their work. On Saturday I had an AGM for a union committee which took a couple of hours and then did a bit of christmas shopping, 2 presents bought. I sorted out my toiletries from my trip and put away my clean clothes. I haven't done the washing yet as OH let things pile up until the day before I came home so the maiden is rammed.
I have just seen the time and have to go as I have to give OH a lift to the garage, car has a warming light that needs sorting. I will post now and return later to finish and update numbers.
Take care everyone18 -
Still contemplating the raclette cheese in the garage fridge. I've checked and the 2 packs look fine but are dated as BBF April 2022. I have to decide before the end of the month if they are dinner or garbage.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. TC77 I shall remember your saying. Wise words. Mind you I think I have taken it on, I would happily give anything away these days.
LiverpoolAnne, your description of your sisters house is just how my Mum's house is. I am still chipping away at it. I am enjoying having a renovated house. I read somewhere that at the end of the day to treat your home like your workplace and close up shop,ie leave everything tidy for the next day. I am trying to do this every night. Although I left some craft stuff out last night and Mr V has just taken a video of the cats playing footy with a party sprout I made.
Charliestribe, yes the cave is a venue for lots of bands, also a big screen cinema as well as cave tours. If you live not far you should come to see me, I can admit guests.Look on the fb group for last nights video.
I have decided to get rid of the artificial Christmas tree. Since the door was moved, there is nowhere for it to go. I have splashed out £3 on a 3ft one to sit atop some drawers, out of the way.
On the cards for today,a charity shop drop and food shopping. There are few shops near me. We have to travel to visit a larger supermarket with more choice.
Take care everyone Vx:18 -
That cave venue looks cool! I was just having a nose about who was playing there next year.
Saying that we have quite a few things next year as I was just writing them on the calendar. Peter Kay, Taylor Swift, Ibiza Orchestra, Suede and Manics and we might get tickets to The Killers if we are lucky.
I am going to batch cook some lentil and veggie soup today as my kitchen is back to normal and I have so many odds and ends of frozen veggies. I am going to take out the whole top drawer of the freezer and try and use up as much as I can. That will be lunch for today and three more days, hopefully.

Looks fun @vulpix. Still giggling about your hokey socks
Gret knitting @Mrs_Salad_Dodger
THe Killers are excellent live @Wednesday2000 I hope you get to see them.
So very tired Poor sleep last night. Had lunch with friends at 1pm then popped over to Sudbury Hall, my nearest National Turst property, to give them 12 bags of books for their second hand book shop.
I am finally making headway with my 'stuff' and getting into some sort of organisation. I could get into bed last night without fighting apile of stuff. Glad I am able to let at least some of it go.
I have a fair number of boxes with mixed stuff in them which I started on last night but need to continue the next few days. I am sorting like with like right now. Its a fast go through of each bag and box. Quick decisions on easy items for bin, recycling, charity shop, keep for later and a tombola pile for someone for next t year. I am giving her these items before New Year though . I did get rid of one bag of papers and boxes to recycling yesterday and one bag of rubbish.
So 12 nags out. Onwards and upwards.
