I haven't been on for 2 weeks and notifications are showing 99+ missed messages. If I try to catch up before I post I'll probably never get back on the EDT again - so apologies for that.
It turned out my aches and pains were because I was ill with what I'm calling a mystery (non-Covid) virus. I spent the first weekend in bed and I've managed to get through work for the last 2 weeks (self-employed) by resting a lot and cutting back on any non-essential activities - its been like wading through treacle sometimes though. I have 12 days booked off from next Weds so I just need to keep going until then.
I still feel fairly tired but I'm going to try to get to my course this morning then socialise this afternoon (low-key).
Tasks:
Put together new cat litter enclosure
Chosen main things for new bathroom and have a start date.IN (running total 174)
175. Sewing Kit
176. Bundle of lovely wool from CS
177. Cat litter enclosure
178. Necklace
OUT (running total 546)
547. Old covered cat litter tray
I hope everyone is doing well. I will try to catch up on reading posts tomorrow. Sending love 💕

Energyshifter - I hope you feel better soon.Mrs SD - thank you for the recent medal and star.As always I am so impressed with how members of the declutterati deal with the difficulties and complications in life. 🤗 💐 also for anyone in need.
I have had a preliminary go at the cupboard under the sink in the utility room. Used up some almost empty bottles for a spot of cleaning so they could be recycled. I found my dusters right at the back which I had thought were lost, or had been purloined for car cleaning. Thought about actually using them but decided to save that for another day 😄 There are some other products which are nearly empty too; I will prioritise getting those used up over my preferred cleaning solutions. Quite a big load of recycling went out this week which is very satisfying. I made a new cover for an old cushion from some leftover fabric from another project which has saved a few pounds and helps use up the stash.Five frogs dealt with this week. Time consuming but I am glad that they are done for now.Wishing everyone a good weekend 😊16 -
I got the quote for the bulky waste which was £50, but that is not too bad as we had quite a lot of stuff. It is being collected the week after next.
It feels much chillier today, we did have a lot of rain and it was very windy last night, but at least it is sunny today. I did some laundry last night and hung it up indoors, but I just put it out on the washing line as I hope it will dry out there. It says it is 17.3 in my house at the moment which is the coldest it has been in a while.
I am going to go and look for some autumnal jumpers today in the charity shops. I have a George delivery later too. We are supposed to be repainting the shed too this weekend.
We have been watching The Fall of the House of Usher (based on Edgar Allen Poe) on Netflix and we have one episode left so we will watch that tonight. Quite gruesome in places, though!2025 GOALS

The time seems to have flown by and so many posts since I last posted and checked.
I've managed to declutter 2 and a half bags of paperwork through the shredder and then into the composter.
I've 2 weeks off from college and volunteering due to half term, so am hoping to catch up with a few bits.
I aim to write a list, hopefully post it here and ticket things off.Decluttering campaign 2023

Safely in our (a bit grotty) hotel room, good day visiting family and going to the airbase to have a look in one of the cargo planes BIL flies in, JF got to turn it all on and operate the ramp and door at the back, so he's happy. Race in the morning, fingers crossed for Mr Flamingo, he's been raising money for the hospice that his brother died at and who have supported DSIL and DNieces since
Decluttering +1 is getting Mr Flamingo his childhood dream of sitting in the pilot seat of an RAF plane (he took a bit of pushing, you know how it goes!)Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday started out quite chilly & overcast but now at 15:30 the sun is out & it has brightened up considerably. DH has been a busy bee again - this time in the kitchen with me acting as his prep cook - gathering & weighing ingredients, sorting out equipment etc. DH has recently bought a new book called Baking Yesteryear & intends to bake something each week 😉 Today he has baked Rocks with orange zest. They are delicious although DH is disappointed with the look as they flattened out quite a lot 🤷♀️ (recipe now amended to add slightly less milk) He has also made a loaf of bread which is on its 2nd prove. DH tidied up after himself, did the washing up + wiped down all surfaces whilst I dried & put away. I baked the bread which turned out very well - perfect for dunking in soup 😉 Dinner was pork steaks, mash, cabbage & carrots. Wudupa. Knitted a beanie 🙂
2147 - 2150 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic bottle, cardboard packaging - recycled
2151 Kitchen detritus binned
No cheerleading as I have just woken up on the sofa so am off to bed 😱 So much for my final push to catch up 😔
