Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way for passing the 3,500 mark 👏 What a great idea to collect all the repair jobs in one box & get them all done in one session once the box is full 👏

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I have watched one & a bit episodes of Silent Witness - a particularly sad storyline 😞 DSis is finally up (13:46) she appears to have a headache & DH got up a while ago. So now back to the cheerleading 😉
vulpix, if you have too much stuff the narrow boat might sink 🤣 The trug thing could be used to plant some flowers or maybe even some herbs 😈 The Bible is beautiful 😍
flamingo747, I hope your DH will be serving you breakfast in bed tomorrow 😉
Congratulations on tidying up your craft stuff Soontobeoap 👏 That was a very successful day’s work & merits a medal 🏅
vulpix, nothing wrong with a brain dump 😉 Easier to sort out if it is written down rather than swirling around in your head 😊 I have made a note of 996 as your number of items decluttered 😉 Such a disappointment that your new pantry/under stairs cupboard doesn’t have elastic sides 😉but I assume it will mean you declutter even more items 😉 Sounds like you are well on the way to having the spare room & studio all sorted out provided DD1 takes all her bits & bobs 🤞😊 Tetris on a grand scale 😅 Very pleased to hear that the very lovely Bible is safely packed away until such time as MrV makes a decision 🙂 Good idea to make a note of where everything is stored 👏 now you just need to make sure the notebook is kept safe 😉 Fingers crossed that you get the last 5 boxes emptied today🤞
daisy_1571, I am just wondering if the Bible with the history of the converted church & the names of previous ministers might have been passed on/archived?
stellata, perhaps some of the items can be passed down to your family? It would be quite nice to see a tablecloth or large serving dish brought out when you go to visit 😊 Lots of happy memories 😊
bit_by_bit, you are very welcome 😊 I am just wondering if you will crochet the doll’s blanket first 😉
EnergyShifter, sorry to hear that you are still tired after last weeks busy-ness 😔 Hopefully today’s walk in the fresh air will perk you up 🤞after all it will be nice to see your friend 😊
TC77, excellent work dealing with frogs - 25% is a great number 👏 so I am awarding you a medal 🏅 It also sounds like you are enjoying your chosen method of decluttering/tidying - more organised & methodical 🥳 with your numbers going up very nicely 😊 You are definitely on track for 2023 items or tasks completed 👏
Great post wort 👏 A very practical way of following Marie Kondo’s method of decluttering combining it with the ‘eat the elephant’ approach 😊Such a succinct explanation might just give me the impetus to deal with my clothing in the same way 🤔 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for giving ajmoney such useful options to commence the decluttering journey 😊
One more page caught up 🥳 P.S. the sun is out & the temperature has reached 20C 😊

37/52 - I found some new motivation and managed to clear out and tidy the second hall drawer. Chuffed.
38/52 - emails deleted to just below 2000! I'm quite impressed I was able to get this low. I'm not sure I'll get much further so I might just set a new challenge of not letting it creep back up.13 -

LiverpoolAnne - Happy Birthday.
Our quick locking up at SA last night didn't happen - officer called - unexpected supermarket food collection - could I stay on until it arrives. Then I needed to go through the 4 crates and a bag of food to sort for fridge.
Today has been hectic - I went to SA to get crates of bric a brac ready for tomorrow. We store stuff on the balcony - what a mess - I had to have a good sort out before I could start on my crates.
I bagged up lots of clothing for recycling and stuff for throwing out.
Mr F came round - made me cups of tea and did 2 trips into town - to the charity shop with books.
Officer wanted me to count petty cash with him so I stayed until he got back from a house clearance but he wasn't ready to do the money so I came home.
Needed some Paracetamols for my aching back even though I had a runner taking stuff down stairs for me.
Now I am packing ready for tomorrow's sale and contacting all the stall holders to confirm that they want a table still.
I need to advertise everywhere on local social media - will do that while dinner is cooking.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Echoing getting locks changed as a priority vulpix, but sounds like good news hes out? Maybe get someone else in asap on proper contract with rent to ensure someone doesn't agree to another rent free tenancy.

Hi, I have been to the house and then to see my Mum.The house is fine. He hasn’t taken all his stuff but he left the front door key. I wanted my Mum to get the back door lock changed but she is leaving it up to my brother. Insert swearing here. I have done my bit. I don’t want to cross swords with my brother.I put the bin out. The first time since he has been there. I took a couple of boxes of Bric a brac for my Mum to sort through. She was talking about stuff in her loft, old carpet etc. she hasn’t needed it in the past 60 years. It can chuffing well stay there. I am rather out of sorts today. She should have sorted her house out years ago. As it is she has walked away from the whole responsibility. It is left to me and my family to do the donkey work. I wasn’t cross with her but I did feel somewhat put upon.It has made me even more determined not to leave a huge job of clearing a house for my children in the future.Vx:16
