Nooooo, don’t encourage me.🤣🤣 I just cannot keep everything, particularly as our next move is to a narrow boat. Only jesting. The family bible. I know I am heartless. I just think as Mr V isn’t interested, his children and grandson (16) aren’t interested. When we die the kids will bin it. I think a charity might be able to get a bit of money for it and it can live with someone who wants it.A pic of the trug thing and Mahoosive bible.:16

Thank you nanny window. It isn’t my birthday, I just have an unclear writing style! I just brain dump basically, I write what I am thinking 🤔
I don’t know what I am doing with numbers, I will go with 996 now. I have filled another chazzer box. Big things, jewellery box, copper jug,big radio, big glass lantern, old vanity case etc.
The old pantry of doom must have had elastic sides. The new much smaller pantry/ under stairs cupboard is now full with Xmas decs, hoover, sewing machine and clothes airer. My craft materials will go in the spare room when I have revamped the chest of drawers currently in the studio. It also depends on DD1 moving all her stuff from there. It is all a giant game of tetris. I have already halved my Christmas decorations previously. To be revisited. Charity shops don’t need Christmas stuff yet. I seem to have about 8 boxes! I could decorate the street.About another 5 boxes and it is all unpacked. That is tomorrows job. It seems to be kitchen stuff left to do.The bible. It is snug in a box in the insulated shed. I wouldn’t want Mr V to part with it unless he wanted to. The first inscription is to a little girl. Bible given to her for her 5th birthday.I have written in my notebook where things are.Loft 4 suitcases. Top boxes on wardrobes spare pillows and duvet. Shed box of books, Christmas tree and a butler’s table. I will forget other wise.If I were to offer advice to someone starting to declutter I would say make one room lovely first. So you have somewhere calm to go.Vx:20 -
Oh vulpix, that bible is gorgeous. I wish the one that goes with our house was fancy like that. Ours is old and huge but pretty boring compared with yours. I'd hoped there would be things written inside, previous ministers or some sort of history of the building but sadly nothing.

Thank you Mrs SD I'm hoping it'll be sorted by Xmas too as I'm booked to stay with my grandsons! It occurred to me that all the stuff I keep "for when family come" probably won't be needed again as I always go to them now. Tablecloths, the heated tray things, big serving dishes. I'll have a think as it'd be a wrench moving it all on.Magnolia Stellata16

I still haven't recovered from last week's busy-ness. I'm so achey and feel so wiped out that I thought I was coming down with something but I suspect its "just" tiredness. Went to the "Spa & Swim" session at my local leisure centre this eve. It gave me some temporary respite from the aches and pains.
Off for a walk tomorrow with a friend I haven't seen for years. if I hadn't rebooked once already I would postpone and spend the day in bed.
Tasks:
Measured up & chose the "sanitary ware" for my new bathroomIN (running total 174)

Gers, love what you did with your dm's bibles.
Mrs SD I'm updating to 1567.
Last night made a list of 25 frogs , some were 30.min tidying in places, phone calls and emails.
Only managed 6 but then did 6 more emails and calls to companies for dd2s equipment for uni from her disability assessment ( hearing problems so hard for her to make calls). Moving things as I I go and up down stairs or make cups of tea while working so quite a few like with like so giving myself 1579..
Empty packaging out and ordered kitchen timer as wonder off and leave things to be overdone/ need scrapping off the bottom of the pan. Will decide tomorrow to see if the pan has ro be decluttered!

@ajmoney I did the Marie kondo declutter many years ago , and I’m still tidy now. She advocates getting everything from one category together to show how much you have , think Sort your life programme! So a huge pile of clothes gathered from all round the house not just in your wardrobe things in the wash basket ,or in storage!I did try to make this easier by first doing smaller categories of clothes, so coats then jumpers and sweatshirts and cardigans. That way you may notice how many of one item you have and think about how many you actually wear.
leaving photos or sentimental items till last as they are the hardest to get rid of.
or you can start by room but always put like with like, I think that is key. Every item then has a place.e.g. So all stationary together so things are easy to find
which ever route you choose make sure you have 3 boxes or bags ,recycle, rubbish and keep. Also get the recycling to the charity shop as soon as possible. And the rubbish in the bin or to the tip.
good luckFocus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.15
