Ooh - congrats @Mrs_Salad_DodgerA few bits and pieces I just skimmed some stuff from the top to make myself feel better. Right now, just really irritated as I've been working crazy hours and now for no reason management are going to make my life difficult and require me to commute 3 hours a day to the office for the first time in over 5 years for absolutely no reason. Doesn't work with kids and so looks like I'm going to have to declutter my job for a new one.Now watching Sort Your Life Out from this week for some inspiration with a gin and tonic...Digital:

Apart from that the only decluttering is a few old used envelopes and rather a lot of money on cattery and storage fees....

Thank you for my gold stars Mrs SD!
I still haven't managed to sort the airing cupboard (we were away last weekend) but I have been through my wardrobe and 16 items that are now too large have gone to the charity shop, plus one pair of sandals with split soles have gone into the bin. There were 35 balls of yarn from the under the stairs cupboard, so I think that makes the current total 865.
The boxes of stuff that have been lurking in the garage went to a charity shop this morning. I popped in this afternoon to look at the books (we are going on holiday next weekend and I plan to spend a lot of time curled up with a book or cross stitch as the cottage is so nice) and the man in front of me at the till was buying the last of the dog toys we had donated - I was impressed at how quickly they had sorted, priced and sold them! They were sorted before I started counting and I am sure that some of them went to church camp as props for the British wildlife treasure hunt or as part of our indoor crazy golf course which has just been dismantled and recycled.
I am reading the thread every night and thinking about those with troubles. This is such a supportive group!14 -
Floss said:I know that feeling! My cat & 95% of my life were in storage for over 4 months while I was renting a bedsit waiting to complete on my home. I used to get a fortnightly postcard from my cat in Blackpool, while I was in Cheshire 😁
I went and saw them once but I think it upset them as much as it did me so now when I drop off their food I don't see them. The next time I do will be to take them home with me. They've been there for 3 months now. 😥Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

Hi all. I got cpmpletely sidetracked from the box. I went to get a clean hand towel for the bathroom and found that airing cupboard in such a mess I pulled all the towels out and had a sort through. I do have a lot of towels in there but they are all relatively new and in good condition so they have been sorted by size and put back tidily. At this time of year even the hand towels take ages to dry so they will all be used in rotation. I have other towels in bags in the rod so I expect some of them will go when I get to them
. The box, which is still sitting on the landing will have to be done tomorrow
.
@~FlowerPot~, OH's sister is coeliac and I have worked with several pupils who were. If I remember correctly in some cases it is possible to get gluten free bread and pasta, and possibly other things on prescription as they can be quite expensive. During cookery lessons I found it quite easy to make cakes but pastry was quite difficult as without the gluten it just didn't stick together when it was rolled. One thing that sticks in my mind was that all own brand Tesco sausages were gluten free and were good enough for everyone to have. This may be the same for some other own brands but I haven't checked. The sensitivity of individuals seems to vary, for my pupils we used to have a separate toaster placed well away from the main toaster and had a separate tub of butter in case of crumbs being transfered. OH's sister doesn't allow anything with gluten into the kitchen in case of contamination but she is very sensitive. Food containing gluten is kept in the sideboard in the dinning room. Eating out can be tricky, for example chips cooked in the same oil as battered fish will be contaminated so it is always worth checking things like that. A lot depends on what things your ds likes to eat as I remember one pupil who ate very healthily, lots of fruit and veg because he knew they were 'safe'. Things like gluten free biscuits and crackers are available but again need to be stored separately. It is worth noting that if you are not coeliac you should not eliminate gluten from your diet as you will then become gluten intolerant. I am afraid you will have some reorganising of your cupboards to look forward to, maybe you could have 1 cupboard that is strictly gluten free. Good luck and I hope your ds feels better soon.
@dND, well done on finding your new home, hope it's not too long until you can move in and get your beautiful cats home with you
Right off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one
Take care everyone
