Ive only got today to work then I'm off on holiday till the end of august. So looking forward to it. Hopefully when I'm back I can make a new start and move forward, I'm very much thinking I need to move on house and work wise now, it's just the timing of it all that's daunting.Magnolia Stellata14

Having first day at home for 10 days - Mr F is in the office and I am in my craft room working on advent stockings. My fabric parcel arrived today - minus the fleece which I was charged for - they have an answer machine on their phone number so will email them.
Postman put a parcel of Mr F's stretchy socks in the wrong door - same number as us but round the corner - woman opened it and realised mistake so postie and her came to apologise.
YDd is back from Spain and MDd has gone off to the caribbean.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Have finally managed to get access to 2 pension accounts from 2 previous employers. Need to sort those out at some point but the values have dropped so I'm not rushing. Tried not to get tooooooo frustrated with the one person I had to talk to on the phone as she kept talking over me and correcting what I was saying. I do wish people could stop, listen, sympathise and then tell you what they can do to help! But that's 2 dead frogs there.
And dealt with the scam email supposedly from EE. It looked very genuine so I didn't want to simply block and delete the way I do with the other scams that come to me. But nothing obvious on their website, no email address for customer service so ended up putting a query on the "ee community" which got me a response from an ee staff member. There is a phishing email address that can be used but it's under about 3 layers of "click here", likewise there's a chat facility buried under layers and layers. In the end I said thank you but it was all very carpy and could they please feedback to whomever as they last thing they want is cranky customers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Afternoon declutterati chums,The snakes was decluttered along with its viv, all the wood (aspen) shavings and 3 frozen rats (pleased to have them out of my freezer (although they were triple wrapped I still wasnt keen on them sitting next to the fish fingers!!) He was rehomed rather than sold, but has gone to a very keen snake person whos already got 17 snakes!! And they seemed very clued up on snake care so thats a huge relief. And today DS2 is nervously awating his Alevels results, so I suggested (very helpfully to keep him busy!!
) to have a mega sort out in his room of all the drawers and cuboards. Which is great as there is loads of stuff leaving his room. BUT most of it is now in piles all around the lower part of the house waiting for me to decide if its CS/sell or tip!! or storing somewhere else OR putting it back in his room lol!!
Also its DH and I 20th wedding aniversary today so we are going out for a nice meal without the kids woohoo! doesnt happen often!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Hi all, missed posting again last night as I was too busy reading and just fell asleep
. Yesterday I had to give a blood sample and make an appointment with the nurse for a meds review. The docs have put in another new system where you have to press button 1 to book an appointment then wait in a queue, when you get to the front of the queue you have to press button 5 and they will ring you back. I had to wait 40 minutes to get to the front of the queue, I just despair. Then I had to wait for the call back which basically stopped me making any more calls. NOT impressed!
. I did get an appointment for 11th September. Good job it's only been due since May! Rant over.
I did manage to speak to my niece later in the day only to realise the best time to visit her actually clashes with the nurse appointment but we can work around it thank goodness. The only other thing achieved was the bathroom bin was emptied.
Today I have been even lazier. I went out for lunch with a couple of ex colleagues. We met at 1 and I got home at 8.30
. It was grand
. The weather was pleasant and after we had finished eating we sat outside overlooking the golf course with cold drinks and just chatted. By the time I got home OH had gone out for tea so I had a buttie while clearing a couple of programmes off the box
.I learned today that all the photos on my phone are also stored in my cloud account which I didn't even know I had
Even the photos I have deleted from my phone are still there in the cloud ☁☁☁. I have put this to the back of my mind as I just don't want to think about what is on there. However I have also learned how to transfer photos from my phone to an external hard drive which was good so I will be doing that at some point in the future. I do have some angst about losing some precious photos if my phone is damaged so that will make me happy. It also occured to me that I can use my phone to take photos of other physical photos and put them on the external hard drive. They will then also be in the cloud hmmm.
Things to think about
Right off to bed now and hopefully I will get something done tomorrow, I am so far behind target I will have to do a couple of marathon sessions to catch upHugs to everyone who would like one
1128 nurse appointment made
1129 bathroom bin emptied
Take care everyone

Hi all, just caught up and had to say @Vulpix I love the bag. Chameleons are one of my fav animals
. When I was a child I lived in Zimbabwe and spent many hours watching them in the garden, much nicer than the spiders and snakes we also found
Also forgot to say I am so excited about the women's world cup
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Stayed lovely & sunny all day with a high of 26C. DH mowed the front lawn + zizzed peelings etc & fed the worms. He also renewed our voter registration for postal voting 🙂 Meanwhile, to avoid tackling a mini frog 😉 I gathered together all my cookery books, recipe cards, clipped recipes, notebooks etc from the bedroom & various places in the living room & had a quick look to see if there was anything I was prepared to let go of 🤔 Sadly the only item I did let go of was a very fancy, beautiful blank Recipe book - an impulse buy 😔 However when I got it home it was too big & not really suitable so it has sat around for a good few years just looking pretty 🤣 It is now in the CS bag 👏 All the loose recipes are now in a document wallet & I have managed to put ALL the cookery books into one cubbyhole in the dining room wall unit 🥳 Then spent a very happy half hour googling & have found a smaller recipe book which I will ask my lovely DH to purchase for me 😊 Writing up my favourite recipes will be a winter project when I get bored with knitting 😂 The mini frog was emptying & cleaning the fridge ✅ - only took 20 minutes 🙄 Tonight we are having omelettes for dinner. Ingredients are prepped. Omelettes were filled with cheese, pre-cooked mushrooms, red & green peppers, onions & bacon bits. Delicious 😋 Wudupa. DSis contacted DH - she is suffering from mosquito bites. Has been to the doctor & has a prescription but is now having trouble breathing. Has another appointment with doctor on Friday.

vulpix, sounds like you had a lovely day 😊 & it beats just sitting in the car 😂 Love the chameleon handbag 🙂 Well done on eating a 6 month old frog 👏
stellata, here’s hoping you have a lovely holiday from work 😊 Lot of TLC & building up reserves of energy to start on your new projects 😊
Sounds like a relaxing day Florenceem 😊 Pleased to hear that your fabric parcel has finally arrived 👏Fingers crossed you will get your refund tout suite🤞 Hopefully YDD had a great time in Spain & MDD enjoys herself in the Caribbean 😊
Brie, well done killing off two frogs 👏 That is one of my bugbears as well Brie 😖 You phone the supposed experts to get help but they don’t listen & then talk gobbledegook 😔 Well done on keeping your frustration under control 😉 Also very well done on dealing with the scam email 👏
~FlowerPot~ very well done on rehoming the snake 👏 Not sure I would have been keen having frozen rats in the freezer either 😅 Fingers crossed that DS2 got the results he needed for his chosen university 🤞Belated Happy 20th Anniversary 🥳💐 I believe 20 years is china but doesn’t specify whether it is porcelain or country 😂 Hope you have saved the sorting for Thursday 😉
Brie, belated Happy 36th Anniversay - apparently the gift is Antiques 🤷♀️
Excellent work dealing with frogs & admin oceanspirit 👏
Liverpool_Anne, what an insane system to get a doctor’s appointment 🤷♀️ Not sure how ours works as I haven’t needed to visit the doctor 🤞🤞 Now that is what I call a proper lunch 👏🥳 Apparently you can delete from the cloud but it looks rather complicated to me 😉 Good luck with tomorrow’s decluttering 🍀 a choice between chameleons, snakes & spiders 🤔 🤨 - definitely chameleons 😊Good luck to our ladies on Sunday 🍀🤞
Off to bed now 😴
