Wednesday2000 - I wonder if any furniture initiative places nearby would take the cushions to replace in a couch who's cushions have seen better days maybe?

Hmm. Thanks guys. I did actually think of a dog rescue before as the kennel I use also has a dog rehoming section but totally forgot about that. I will call the local furniture store this week and see what they say and if they think they could reuse the cushions with another sofa. Actually, I might take some pics of it all on my phone and go in there and ask them.:)2025 GOALS

Bathroom vigorously cleaned, cupboard under the sink tidied and tackled the tannin stains lurking under the strainer-plug doodah which have been bugging me for longer than I care to own up to.

Hi I'm full of nervous energy as have a pelvis ultrasound scan tomorrow so have channelled the energy into decluttering.
2 large moving boxes (will have to check the size) full of stuff to go.
Box 1: fabric for recycling, coat that has more tears in than material, material off cuts from my fabric stash, kids socks and undies, throw that has a huge hole in it and jeans that are ripped.
Box 2: wadding, thermos type flask for pasta etc, 4x cookie cutters, 2x scooter accessories, 3x bras, 3x kids hairbands, Easter crafts, 5 elves on the shelves, netting from haberdashery, stacking cups, 2x glitter (never will that darken my door again), plastic tub with lid, tiddly winks game, unwanted craft set, 5x unworn pack of kids tights, baseball cap that makes me look like I should be in the female equivalent of East 17 or backstreet boys.... 4x chord books, edge protection for toddlers set, we overbrought and only needed 1. All to be taken to charity shop tomorrow after dropping eldest 2 dc at school. 1 paper and a kids magazine to recycling, a broken tractor toy has to be binned as irreparable, Barack Obama book to sell on vinted.
Dinner is from the freezer, using up odd bits and pieces and then a nice bath and relax before bed.2024 decluttering Campaign

Tackled my wardrobe and chest of drawers today. Got rid of a few excess hangers (limiting myself to having 50 in total - not sure if that's a lot or not!). Decluttered some old workout clothes, excess towels, and and an old handbag.2023 Mortgage-Free Wannabe #19: £11,675.68/£13,000

4:00 p.m. & the rain has finally stopped & there is a lovely pink sky 🙂 DH had messaged M earlier but has had no reply so will be off in about 30 minutes for a short visit. My time away from cheerleading has meant I finished knitting the beanie & had started sewing it up before the alarm went off - so will finish later😉 DH has just called he is on his way home. M is in a lovely room & although still sleepy apparently she is chatty & no longer ‘vague’ DH sounded a lot happier 🙂
Here is the next instalment of cheerleading & I will be back after dinner to continue 🙂
Excellent work Soontobeoap 👏 That is what I call definite action dealing with a 2 year old frog - decision made to wallpaper the under stairs cupboard, wallpaper & tools sourced & task completed in an afternoon 🤩 One medal 🏅 on its way 🙂 An excellent decision re the collection of teapots 👏- I think 9 years stored away is definitely a good indicator that they are no longer loved 😉 Well done on 3 no spend days 👏
Welcome out of lurkdom Crazycatlady2 - hopefully you will find inspiration reading along 🤞Remember you are a successful declutterer as evidenced by the shopping trolley full of donations for the CS & the shed decision 👏 Fingers crossed that the issue with the other shed is just a leak & can be sorted easily 🤞
Sadly I am not quite keeping up at the moment TC77 but not really a chore as I am loving reading about everyone’s successes 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 Oops re the sellotape but at least yo got to remind yourself of all the other places you have already tidied 😉
Excellent work Bored 👏 Isn’t it lovely when you find an area of clutter that you tackled so efficiently first time round 🙂 Good work on the electronic decluttering as well 👏 Great work tackling your chest of drawers & wardrobe 👏
Excellent gardening work villagelife 👏
Beautiful home made cards Florenceem 😍 Excellent decluttering 👏 I imagine both you & MrF did a jig when his wallet decided to come out of hiding 🕺 💃 Good luck with the bag of magazines 🍀 that will class as dealing with a frog 😊
Fayolle what an excellent result re the wrapping paper drawer 👏 so lovely that we are inspiring each other to tackle ‘forgotten areas’. By the way it might not be a clear surface but you can do what I do when I have tidied a drawer - every time you walk past Open The Drawer and admire your work 😊
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏 & well done on 5 no spend days 👏 I am also awarding you a medal 🏅 for the TLC you have shown yourself by taking time off in December 2022 😊
Great decluttering mfwin2019 👏 & what a great bonus a £10 note 🥳 - almost like getting paid for decluttering 😉 As to helping DH with his tax return I would be counting that as No.2 of 520 🙂
Excellent decluttering charlies_tribe 👏 Well done on on your safety measures & a great bonus that you have relocated your DH’s Lego castle 🙂 Hope DH’s hip/back ages & pains ease off quickly 🤞
What an excellent start to your decluttering campaign try_harder 👏
Excellent decluttering Slinky 👏 Fingers crossed that the awol tablecloths will finish their holiday very soon 🤞
Excellent decluttering & use of the 23 minute system DundeeDoll 👏 Love that you found a new handbag (I lurk on other threads so know that you asked permission to check that the handbag was the correct size 😉)
Excellent decluttering Keiths_Mum 👏 and well done on dealing with an important frog 👏 I empathised with your tale of a ‘no weekend cashier’ bank as I had exactly the same situation when my old branch closed & I was trying to find a new branch. The particular branch I went into wouldn’t accept my cheques (I refuse to use the machines), however after a bit of pleading the cheques were taken into the back office, my paying in book was stamped & I was given photocopies of the banked cheques 🙂Fortunately I found a branch with a proper cashier 🥳 I am wondering if it was the same bank - an anagram of SCBH 😉 I must admit to a pang of jealousy reading about your call up for Jury Service as I never even got called 🙁 You would have thought that there would be other cases pending or even that they would put you on a list for a future call up 😔

~FlowerPot~ that is what I call excellent decluttering & the bonus is that you are fully appreciative of the joy of dealing with a ‘Frog’ 👏 I did smile at your inventive way of making sure you planted the bulbs - leaving them in an annoying spot until you could no longer bear looking at them 😂 So not only 2 rooms decluttered but also 2 Frogs 👏 One medal 🏅 coming your way.
Thank you so much Mrs SD, your cheerleading is wonderful. and really lovely, and a medal woohoo! made me smile!
I think you deserve a medal too for keeping up with an us declutterers!! 🎖️Not much has gone on here today, just tidying up behind everyone else leaving messes behind them!
