Florenceem said:Crazycatlady2 - thanks - I am having to go slowly with Mr F to stop stress. He has been very good about all the stuff that has left the house.
I haven't told him my new banking details because of him running up debts twice in our marriage.
Yesterday he said that he wants to keep his bank credit card as sometimes it is best to buy items with one. I have credit cards which I clear every month. Do I let him keep a credit card? No way is he having 7 credit cards as he has now.17 -
@Florenceem given that you can set it up to automatically clear in full every month, 1 cc should be safe enough. He’s right that it’s better to pay with cc sometimes.
My guess is a nativity scene 😊18 -
found myself channeling this crowd yesterday when I was talking to a young woman at work. She's had social services visiting due to issues with her child and they have commented on the state of her house. For various reasons she hasn't been able to summon up the energy to do a good clean/tidy for some time so I mentioned the 20 minutes a day idea. I suggested she do one small corner starting 20 minutes before her favourite tv show comes on so that would give her a def deadline.

Realised I had been getting run-down again mid-way through the week so booked some time off at the end July/early Aug (12 days!!!) . No plans to go away. I feel like a different person after doing that and having a day lazing in the sun yesterday !
Shame the weather Is not so great today - I could have done with a second day of sunbathing - but at least it will make it easier to focus on doing preparations for a Team Building day I'm facilitating next week. Its been over.a year since I've done one so I am putting LOTS of hours of prep in.
Booked myself on a Supervision course to start in the Autumn. I took so long to decide what one to do - it had filled up by the time I contacted them so I've been on waiting list for a couple of months and fortunately a place became available for the first 3 modules !!! 🙏 I get a place on the final one too.Tasks:
CBT session
Booked on Supervision course
IN (running total 109)
110 & 11 - 2 x sleeveless tops CS
112 - zero gravity sun-lounger - bought a couple of weeks ago - forgot to list

114 - stanley knife set
OUT (running total 442) - adjusted as took 2 items from CS bag
443 & 4 - 2 x books - to station library
445. DS' horrible old gamer's chair that I managed to separate him from.
446. Beach cover-up
Dfw38 - super - cuuuuuute kitten
Have a great weekend all ☀️☀️☀️

I'm wiped out today as I think I ate something that disagreed with me yesterday, I started feeling off when in the pub and had to leave early. I'd had an hour of socialising by then though.
determined not to waste yet another day sitting about so I'm going through a drawer of cables and bits. What do I do with old electronics now? Watches, phones etc?Magnolia Stellata16 -

I gave a charity shop an old garmin fitwatch that I had replaced with one of their smart watches. Nothing the matter with it other than needing a new battery (£5) and it had 3 different bands that you could swap to match your outfits.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. 1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Saturday is a dull, overcast day. I got up at noon & within 15 minutes it started raining 😞Before I went to bed last night I chopped up, bagged & froze the few remaining vegetables from the fridge - a green pepper, 2 carrots & half a dozen mushrooms + portioned up Bolognaise sauce for freezers.

charlies_tribe, I confess I had to look up Ahsoka (interesting name) as after the original three Star Wars films, I wasn’t quite such a fan. Although I have seen the movies up to The Rise of Skywalker, I haven’t watched any animated films or TV series so haven’t really registered many character names other than from the original 3 films 😔 Very considerate of you to leave adding concrete to the skip until today 😉
-taff, I quite agree 🙂
TC77, hopefully you can manage more than 10 minutes a day 🤞 Like you I find it quite hard to be in the ‘here & now’ - even my TV watching is mainly historic - I watch lots of repeats 😉 Great work on the ‘delaying landfill’ decluttering 👏
Now, now Gers ‘wagging finger emoji’ As to the photos, perhaps now is the time to revisit & start thinning out/deleting them 🤔
Florenceem, that sounds like a really good activity for MrF - quite therapeutic & is keeping him out of mischief 😉🙃 Some lovely material in your photo 😊 My guess is dolls & flannels for the next SA table top sale - I really wouldn’t be any good on the Transformation Challenge on Sewing Bee as I lack imagination 🤣
olgadapolga, great name 🥳 Thanks for the information on Stamp Swap Out 👏
Nice to have you back GrannyKate 😊 Sounds like you had some good meals on your holiday 😉unless of course you meant that you won some cash 🤞😅 Great work getting all your LDFPA sorted 👏 Shame about the damaged phone 😔
Oh QueenJess, I just want to give you a big hug 🤗 & reserve you a private suite in the TLC Carriage 😊 You would be incommunicado apart from sending one long email to DH listing ‘EVERYTHING you do to keep your home running’ & wishing him luck + one email to work with your sign-off letter from our resident Doctor 😊 Now to address some of your comments - putting on My Mummy Bear hat 😉 “I am a GOOD parent” - repeat every hour on the hour 😊 It really would not surprise me at all if a large percentage of the other parents had no idea of the change of ‘sports day’ date & just covered it up 😉 As to DH - my initial thought is to either make a video or write a letter expressing how you are feeling (mention of ‘whack a mole’ would not go amiss 😅) - not sure which would sink in more 🤔 Maybe both 🤨 - I was going to write more about DH but it would have been less than flattering 😉 so I will move on to emails & wish you Good Luck on your continuing quest 🍀 I do think you have hit on the ideal solution (little & often) although I will say please try to be patient 🙏 Hopefully with DS supervising his dad, you will be rewarded with a clearer garage 🤞🤞Perhaps get DS to mention a trip to the Tip as a father/son activity 😅 Also good luck with the other digital decluttering 🍀 More hugs 🤗 coming your way 🥹
Crazycatlady2, 10 pages of posts read 👏 The most important one stuck - Ziggy the Cutie is building up quite a fan base 😊 Lovely sentiments expressed re Florenceem 😊
Florenceem, thank you for sharing such a personal story. One credit card for MrF does sound reasonable but with a fairly low Credit Limit. I can see that Crazycatlady2 has come up with another useful suggestion 👏
Well said stymied 👏
Brie, what a lovely thing to do 😊 & what a great idea for that young woman 👏 I wish her every success 😊
Congratulations on reaching 20,000 QueenJess 🥳 you have definitely earned your 🏆 & there is also a Gold Star ⭐️ from me to add to your very impressive list of awards 😊
Floss, that sounds like a good guess re Florenceem’s next crafting project 👏
EnergyShifter, surprising how doing something positive like booking time off work can lift the spirits so much 😊🥳 & coupled with a day of sunbathing it does sound like you are feeling better😊 I hope the Team Building Day goes well & that you enjoy your Supervision Course 🤞 Excellent decluttering & I see that you are still running at ‘1 in 4 out’ almost 👏
stellata, Sorry to hear that your evening out has led to you feeling unwell 😔 However, please don’t let the experience prevent you from meeting up with friends in the future 🙏 Re cables, watches etc maybe the CS or Tip 🤔 I am positive that better ideas will be forthcoming from our fellow declutterati 🙂
Brie, great suggestions/ideas re cables, electronics etc 👏 I just knew someone would come up with better ideas for stellata 😊
Now that I have caught up I think I ought to pack for our trip to Scotland 😉 I have already dealt with todays mail 🙂

@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I'm sure I'll snap and say lots of stuff to DH soon. He doesn't pick up on anything or take hints, but it's sometimes exhausting spelling everything out to him. Currently I'm hiding from life. I left DH in charge of the kids and cooking dinner and I'm lying down in the bedroom watching junk on my laptop trying to rest. I'm halfway through my antibiotics, so hopefully I'll feel less tired soon.As I'm slightly allergic to doing nothing though, I brought a photo album and a stack of recipes with me to sort. So even more progress to report and my library desk is looking a bit emptier. Still got some recipes left to do though.Digital:
