One endoscopy procedure decluttered! And as I was sedated I don’t remember a thing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fridays treatment was later than usual so body was a bit screwed up but I have finally had a decent meal, a coffee and am back in bed with both dogs and several toys which the dogs are sure will make mum better much quicker. Fan is whirling away and I feel much happier.
only 2 major things next week - Dog1 op on her eye and X-ray for metal work and smiling sweetly through my last week of TB.
dad still in hospital being tested so he’s in the right place and we will see him next weekend.

Not much decluttered here, apart from a hospital appointment (all OK, next appointment in 2 weeks to talk drugs & radiotherapy) followed by several glasses of wine in my local pub garden with DS2, and an amazing amount of cat fur & dust in my new Shark 😳2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday has been another sunny hot day. I got up late again 😔 DH has been a busy bee yet again 👏Strimmed, mowed & hoovered the back ‘lawn’ + put down some grass seed on a small area. I joined him & we emptied the large garden box, moved it onto the grass & DH vacuumed out plus gave the inside a quick rinse. We then went through the contents. Garden umbrella cover packed & put away; 2 old curtains & a manky tea towel + 3 more damaged bird feeders + plastic trays + a plastic lid removed from a pirates chest + yet another shredder bin put in garage for next Tip run; 6 manky paint brushes & a small carrier bag of toot binned; 3 plastic takeaway boxes washed & recycled. I swept the patio. All gardening equipment returned to its relevant home 😉 So will add 19 to my totals + yesterdays usual recycling etc = another 3 so new total = 1355 + 22 = 1377/2023. The fridge is a little emptier as DH had lo cheesy pasta for lunch & I had lo mash & greens as a poor bubble & squeak 😉
I see I am way behind on the cheerleading so I will knuckle down using the 23 minute method - wish me luck 🍀
Soontobeoap, what a stunning craft cabin 🤩 Really lovely garden too 😊
A very busy Friday QueenJess & you got a lot done 👏 Very pleased to hear that you are celebrating your successes over the week with a glass of wine 😊 Good luck with reverse planning your meals to use up stores in cupboards & freezer 🍀
Excellent work in the garden on Friday florianatwobob 👏
Blue_Doggy, the first hint of good weather & the weeks seem to fly by 😱 Excellent work in the garden 👏 I empathise - I keep forgetting I am not in my 30’s anymore 😔 Now if I do too much it takes me at least 2 days to recover 😱
Florenceem, pleased to hear that you tested negative on Saturday 😊 Now please remember to take it easier for a few more days until you are fully recovered 🙏
Lovely supportive post Moorviews 😊 Excellent work tackling your shed 👏especially as only a third of it is yours 😉 Good luck to MrMV when he tackles his shed/s 🍀 Keep up the excellent work 👏
Dfw38, you have been busy 👏 excellent work sorting out the pantry under the stairs 👏 and well done on leaving a shelf for DDs to become self sufficient re their lunches 🤞You haven’t missed your MMiM & frog targets at all Dfw38, you have just filled your time with work & more pleasurable actions like preparing for DDs birthday parties 😊 How about ‘Jettison Junk in June’ - not my idea but cannot remember who suggested it 😉
Florenceem, such a shame that you don’t have much from your parents but I suppose MrF makes up for it with his ‘collections’ 😉 Hopefully when he comes home & sees how much decluttering you have done & ‘feels’ how calm everywhere is, MrF will be inspired to declutter some of his stuff that you have decided not to deal with for fear of upsetting him 🤞I hope that once you finished wrestling with the duvet cover yesterday you had a nice long rest 😊
GrannyKate, always such a shame when there is not enough laundry to warrant a wash & drying on the line 😉 Great work tidying & decluttering tasks 👏
Fizz2015, pleased to hear that Friday was such a positive work day 👏 Good luck with your lists & your 23 minute slots 🍀 I keep forgetting to put my timer on 😅
TC77, dealing with decluttering two houses at once is always going to be a big ask 😔 Tetris definitely comes to mind 😉 Love the first picture - I believe that is the room you allowed me to peek into when I came round 😊 I can see the lovely coloured glassware on the top shelf of the cabinet 😉 Sorting that room looks eminently doable 🥳 Hopefully re DD1’s stuff she will take absolutely everything with her plus a few extra bits of yours 🤞
QueenJess & Florenceem - great cheerleading for TC77 🥳
Absolutely love your post Moorviews 👏 Full of wisdom & great observations about how clutter gains a foothold & that we often need a ‘light bulb’ moment before we pile in, knuckle down & get things done 😊 One medal 🏅 coming your way for not only sharing but also for the great cheerleading for TC77 👏
oceanspirit, exciting times ahead with OH moving in 😊 Well done on doing so much decluttering of your own ‘stuff’ so that you can accommodate the bulk of OH’s stuff 👏 Hopefully the storage container will only be required for 3 months 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, that sounds like a lovely way to spend a Friday - sitting eating, chatting and drinking coffee with your friend 😊 Good news that your appointment at the bank went well 👏 How dare the football association decide to have their last match on Sunday 😂 delaying your well thought out plans for Saturday 😉 Good luck sorting both the conservatory & OH’s clothes 🍀
Florenceem, congratulations on the weight loss 👏 although I think it probably has more to do with all the hard work you have put in decluttering rather than having Covid 😉 Excellent work cleaning & decluttering the bedroom 👏
Well said Brie 😊 Shame it took a bout of Covid to persuade Florenceem to have a rest from her SA duties 😉
My concentration is wavering now & the 23 minute timer is just about to go off for the 2nd time 🙂 So will post this & start trying to convince myself that I will manage another session of cheerleading later 🤞

Thank you @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, feel like I am letting the side down somewhat.
I like Jettison Junk in June and am in for that!
Today I cleaned all upstairs windows inside and out and have done some gardening in front and back gardens with eldest dds help. 2nd dd assisted by keeping her brother occupied with water and mud. They both needed a bath but meant that I could get on which is often impossible with the younger 2. I have told both dds they can have an extra £1 in their pocket money for being so helpful today. Ds has been told he can have £1 for being a good boy and keeping his sister occupied with mud and water 😄. Tomorrow I am visiting dad's house to do more sorting and gather the paperwork for sorting out the inheritance tax forms. An arduous task but I am keen to start so it can be over. My dbro and myself are also going to be doing some gardening in my aunties back garden (dad's sister, in her 90s) as she loves her garden but cannot do it herself. We want to do it to cheer her up as she has taken my dad's death hard. Thankfully she only lives a few streets away from dad's house so should be manageable.2024 decluttering Campaign

Today was a day out, but I did a tiny bit more digging up of the grass in the to be wild flower border (need to get on with it really) and planted out my black eyed susans. Whilst I was doing that and when I was cooking the dinner I looked for another 10 things to get rid of in the kitchen/garage/outside. Again it was pretty easy. Some of these things tire my brain, so only looking for 10 things means fewer decisions and makes the process easier. Hoping I'll start seeing the results soon when I open drawers/cupboards.Digital:

Evening All, been busy all weekend but don't seem to have much to show for it! Bought and put together a sideboard to house the printer and OH's self employed paperwork etc so can stay organised. I just need to tidy the rest of the dining room and find homes for everything or bin things as the table is covered. We also braved ikea to get DD a small desk for her room. Found a compact one for £25. Bargain and put together myself. Also spent 2 hours cleaning her room and moving stuff about to fit better. I'll update my figures later, I'm attaching keeping count again.
Tomorrow we are off hiking and attempting the horseshoe ridgeway walk with DD in tow. We have all day and going well prepared and setting off early. If we need to adapt or shorten the walk then we will.

Just cleaned out a double cupboard in kitchen, was one of the junk cupboards. Just moneybox and dcs wallets in there now. Removed some of the dcs stuff to the right place from there and binned the rest, it was full with stuff literally falling out on you.. Been like that since before Xmas and we haven't needed the stuff.

Sewed a loose thread on the blanket that lives on my bed - it has been annoying me for nearly a year so very glad it is now done.
More papers tidied and several in recycling or shredding pile.
New to me mattress from a rellie collected today and put on spare room bed.
Living room is a big mess today. There are a few boxes in there that will go into the loft when we can arrange for someone more sprightly than us to put them up there, plus some others that need to be emptied into their new homes. Will start moving things over from OH’s tomorrow so that he can start to see what else needs organising at his place.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅12 -
Hi all, reasonable day today, the bedroom bin was emptied and the kitchen recycling. I have removed 20 things from the conservatory which included such things as a bag for life full of glass jars kept for jam and pickles etc. I am sure there are more in there but I haven't come across them yet
. I have had a bit of an organise with some of OHs clothes, coats hung up etc and a load put through the washing machine as they had fallen on the floor. More were checked over and another load organised for tomorrow. Some have been put in bags and others given to OH to put away. They are currently sitting on the end of the couch but I have done my bit with them. These are not counted in my 20 removed items
I have got the lawn mower back in a sensible place. When I told OH it was suggested we store it at OHs house. I declined as I know it will cause a problem when we want to use it here. When it was going to be shared the deal was it would be taken to OHs house, used and returned the same day, totally different ball game. My big step ladders and extention lead have been at OHs for the past 6 months 😠. I spent a few hours on the crochet blanket and have just got 2 rounds of the border left to do and sort the ends. Hopefully that will be done tomorrow after we get back from doing the garden at OHs.
@Florenceem, has Mr F also tested negative? If he's still positive I am not sure you should be visiting. I would not like you to catch it again, especially as you are still recovering from it, it takes a while to get over it and your immune system has taken a battering with it. Please check with the hospital before you go if they haven't already told you he is now negative, hugs.
Right off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one
713 bedroom bin emptied
714 kitchen recycling emptied
715 load of washing sorted
716 + 717 20 items removed from the conservatory
718 lawn mower put in sensible place, no more stubbed toes
Take care everyone
