1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSunday’s party went very well - spent a couple of hours setting up - putting up balloons & banners, covering garden tables with table clothes with gold runners (gold ribbon), setting out drinks & glasses/paper cups, moving indoor furniture etc. S & her daughter were busy in the kitchen preparing food - everywhere was a hive of activity 🙂 Everything was ready outside, the buffet was set up indoors (including the focaccias 😉) & all of us who had been helping to set up were dressed smartly before the 1st party guest arrived 🙂 The sun was shining & it stayed out all afternoon into the early evening. The still happy couple (even after 60 years 😉) were given blow up crowns 👑 & were rightly the centre of attention until the children took over 😉🤣 The congratulations card from The King & his wife (which had been framed) took pride of place 🤩 S. had organised an Easter egg hunt for the children - 2 x 18 month old boys, almost 4yr old girl, almost 5 year old boy & 2 boys possibly early teens + there was also a tombola with all 30 of us winning a prize 😉 All in all a fabulous day - full of fun & laughter, reminiscing & joy 🥹 Everyone had a lovely time especially the happy couple 🤩 About 20:00 we had sandwiches & bits - finishing off the remnants of the buffet. Everyone was exhausted but happy.
Monday I was up at 9:00 a.m. DH up 10:30 Raining & windy - fortunately we did the clearing up Sunday after everyone left so everything was under cover 🙂 Breakfast was a slice of fruit & cherry Madeira cake & coffee. DH took the bunting down which I broke into its constituent parts & was disposed of appropriately 🙂 We finally left about 13:45 in the dry & were home by 15:05 after a dry journey 🥳DSis was prepping vegetables etc for dinner 🥳 & made us coffee whilst we got got our jackets & helmets off & put away. I have completely unpacked only to discover that I left our goody bags behind 😔 although I did remember the cupcake for DSis 😉 Also had a bouquet of flowers gifted to me as S, C, W & T are off to Wales for a few days 😊
What a wonderful surprise regnbue 😊 Someone is definitely very talented 👏
It certainly was a lovely weekend vulpix - someone was definitely smiling down on us 😊 Shame about the concrete slabs but hopefully the next person who wants them will bring someone to help 🤞At least the plumber turned up even if he was feeling a bit worse for wear 😉 Sounds like you are thoroughly enjoying the gardening & making hay while the sun shines 👏
Brie, unfortunately it was a new barcoded stamp 😖 so there should have been no problem 😔 Fingers crossed that you receive your free Covid tests soon 🤞
Florenceem, I am so, so sorry to hear that MrF is getting worse ☹️ Sending lots of positive vibes that the mental health team can expedite an appointment with the doctor.
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Well done on getting your 3 tasks a day done if not quite completed 😉 Lovely that your kids want to help but………. 😉
Lovely post daisy_1571 😊
Well said bit_by_bit. Sounds like you had a lovely Sunday with the family 😊 & always nice when someone else cooks 😉 Hope you managed a lie-in this morning 🤞
I echo your beautiful sentiments Moorviews.
Nice to see you back shabbychic12 👋 Sorry to hear that RL has got in the way of your decluttering 😉but so nice that your mojo has returned 👏 I am looking forward to reading about your successes 😊
dND, beautiful supportive post 😊
fritzie-65, nothing wrong with pottering along especially as you are still decluttering 👏 I like the reverse non-collection 🙂 serves them right for messing you around 😉
What a caring & compassionate post, florianatwobob 😊 Great news that your DBro is finally home & that the care package is in place 🙂
Pennypincin, sorry to hear about your unfortunate decluttering 😔 Also wishing you success in appealing the pip decision 🤞🍀
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Enjoy your caravan break with the 3 smaller people 😊 hopefully the weather will be kind 🤞
charlies_tribe, I automatically compared your before & after photographs 😉 you should be very, very proud of yourself 👏 What an excellent reason to stop working on the conservatory & transfer your energies to the bedroom 😊 Do you have a time frame?
Excellent work kboss2012 👏 Nice to see you are flexing your decluttering muscles 😊
Brie, good luck with your shoe decluttering 🍀 I have the same issue with shoes - trying to get more formal looking shoes that are as comfortable as Skechers, is next to impossible. I resorted to buying men’s shoes in the end - rounder toes 😉 Brilliant result - space under your desk, bags of popcorn readily available, being able to drive legally 😉 & £20 to spend in MrT 🥳
Great decluttering Craving_space especially decluttering a winter’s worth of lawn 👏
Excellent decluttering Pennypincin 👏
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 Almost there - the diamond is sparkling brightly 💎
Dinner was roast chicken, roast potatoes, roasted parsnips & carrots, baby spinach & Yorkshire Puddings - delicious 🤤 DSis’s roast potatoes were superb 😋 Wudupa.

After Mr F having a seizure in the A & E waiting room and waiting 11 + hours to be seen by a Dr - investigations have happened. I got very little sleep on a hard chair next to Mr F's bed. Bloods taken and retested as low sodium + ECG. Had a scan of his head - all okay. They scanned his bladder as he wasn't passing urine - now on a catheter. All tests are okay - no infection. Consultant for MH team came to see him today and stopped his medication. Mr F was seen by another MH person. Last Dr we saw told us that Mr F will be seen by someone from the Psychiatry dept tomorrow. I went home on the bus in the afternoon to get some clean clothes and my Dgd took me back to the hospital.
A friend was at the hospital for an appointment so visited Mr F and brought me home.
I miss him so much and this is my first night alone.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@Florenceem didn't want to read and run. The biggest virtual hug being sent to you. Mr F is in the best place, being thoroughly checked over which will hopefully give you answers and a plan for further treatment/support as needed. Please keep faith that your belief and strength will get through the night. Do you have a friend that you can call on if needed for company or a chat. I hope you manage to get some rest and won't be long before you can visit Mr F tomorrow.

Hope you slept ok florenceem, I wonder if you might have time today to quickly look at your own posts and jot down dates and the details. Its always hard remembering what order things happened in, especially when you are tired and worried yourself. Having it in writing to give to each of these people that are assessing mr f means they all get the same information and something might be significant to them.
Hope today goes well

@Florenceem ~ I do hope you managed a little sleep last night. @daisy_1571 makes a good point it cold be very useful to have a sort of timeline of event over the last week or so to give to the Drs./ consultant. Sending (((love)))Flowers x♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Good morning lovelies,I hope everyone had a nice Easter break, the weather yesterday was interesting!! But it sunny here this morning, so thats nice.Over the weekend I managed to decluttere the grass and sort out the strawberry bed (giving away loads of runners and some rhubarb and some rooted mint) Blasted mint is trying to take over the strawberry patch!!Also went through my late DSis books. Her OH wanted rid of all her books almost as soon as she died (end of 21) and so I scopped up about 300 books and Have slowly been looking through them and making a pile for rehoming/resale as I go. ALot I want to keep, but prob half I dont 'need' but at the time I just took anything I thought might be useful. They are all spiritual type and radionic books. The radionic books are all useful (except the one I have already got!) Anyway, theres a conference later in the year and this will be the perfect place to rehome them, so I am collecting a nice big pile ready to take there, i should think it will be a good few boxes, so that will be good and will help make some room on the landing upstairs and also under the stairs!!DS2 finally came home from Nepal, he had an amzing time and loved it, even the bit where their group missed the flight because the travel company didn't tell them the flight had changed to 6 hours eariler, so they got put up in a 5* hotel for an extra night. But he didnt enjoy the second flight home as was rather (very) poorly. BUt has slept loads since he came home and not been ill since so thats good, still waiting to be shown the photos though (rolling eyes emoji) teenagers!!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Hi all sorry I have been mia for a couple of days as I was just too tired to post by the time I was heading to bed though I have read all the posts.
On Sunday I went to the footie and finally had the catch up call with my niece who is here on a flying visit. It transpires she was home for a small medical procedure to remove a mole that was pre cancerous. I did suspect the visit was for a medical thing either for herself or my sis or bil but I know my sis would not have told me, we have a difficult relationship, and I did tell my niece I had been worried as her trip was unusual at this time of year. I am not sure if she completely understood how worried I was but I didn't want to stress her at this time but when I see her when she is home again in August I will have the conversation. Yesterday we were visiting friends so I have been doing nice things
In the past 2 days I have sorted 3 loads of washing, emptied the bedroom bin, the kitchen bin and the kitchen recycling, a new soap from stash put into the bathroom. Also lots of Easter eggs and other goodies have left the house to be given to various friends and children of friends
On the subject of free covid tests according to the nhs website it says if you are entitled to treatment for covid, ie antiviral drugs due to a medical condition, or if you are going into hospital for anything you can get free covid tests. We recently had a letter saying OH was entitled to treatment for covid but we were sort of saying oh so without this letter we wouldn't get treatment for covid? There is a list of medical conditions covered on the website but it does say others may be covered and if you think you may be in this category to contact your doctor about it. I think it is probably a similar list to those who were classed as vulnerable, not just the extremely vulnerable, it might depend on your gp but I think it's probably worth asking the question. I will be asking next time I have the chance.
@Florenceem, lots of hugs
@Brie and @Mrs SD on the subject of shoes there is nothing to beat sketchers but they do also make boots etc that OH informs me are just as comfortable as the usual trainer types. If you have a sketchers shop nearby it might be worth checking there
Not sure what I am doing today apart from the trip to the post office to check out the postage dilemma but the sun is out now so hopefully a nice day though rain is forecast.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
