@Florenceem I strongly encourage you to get Mr F seen by a doctor. The problems DBro experienced (and the life changing results he will have to live with) partly stemmed from an untreated UTI that developed extreme complications.UTIs are more common in men as they age, can make people confused and delirious but are so very easily treated with a short course of antibiotics.ETA… I’ve caught up and can see they Mr F is safely tucked up in the hospital. MH care and ambulances for that is just as valid a reason as for physical health. I can imagine how hard this is for you but with the help of the professionals things will stabilise and then improve. Also don’t feel embarrassed or uncomfortable asking for help from your local adult social care teams. They’re there for a reason and so compassionate not just to the person they support but to their families too. It means you can be a wife first and foremost. In other news DBro has been discharged (76 days after admission). Much stronger than last time but still not back to fighting fitness. Currently with a care package in place and district nurses visiting.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

I haven't done any decluttering other than accidentally losing a £10 note.
I aim to declutter maths homework asap, while trying to get support for appealing the decision of pip and disabled bus pass not being renewed.
And continuing decluttering the home.Decluttering campaign 2023

@Florenceem sending hugs. I can't imagine how you are feeling right now. Not knowing what/why its happening or the best way to help someone that you love. Hopefully now you can get some support for you both x
Thank you all. It still looks a huge mess to me but on putting the picture at the side of the one from 3 weeks ago, it's a huge difference.
Yesterday was a change of plan. We had to tackle our bedroom which is another conservatory style stuffed room. (Actually it's worse, I wasn't brave enough to photograph it) but we needed to move the bed from in front of the window so we could open the curtains/window as it's getting really damp in there and we may soon be having DGD1 over night as her mum goes back to normal shifts and there is only step space around the bed so nowhere for a cot. Another mass of boxes waiting to go out so not counting them until they leave and some things boxed ready for a skip and 2 black bags of old towels brought down for rebagging and will see if anyone wants them for dog towels etc.
I promise the rest of the house isn't that bad, the conservatory, our room and the shed are the 'cram everything in so no-one can see how much we've hoarded' rooms.
The only thing that's actually left are...
798-804 7 postage bags, delabled and binned.

Two Ikea bags of clothes gone from my wardrobe and drawers and to the charity shop (which is half the battle for me when decluttering!)
Next I need to clear OH’s drawers of t-shirts & pjs he hasn’t worn in half a decade & my shoes!
Trying to remind myself that little & often gets the job done eventually, even just one thing in the charity shop pile is one less thing to take up space!“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Hugs and kind thought for you @Florenceem. Looking after someone when they can't help themself is truly exhausting so I hope you get a chance to recharge your batteries if Mr F is in hospital for a couple of days. And that they are able to help him too.
Meanwhile I continue to declutter. I'm trying to decide if I need to keep all my shoes. I've some I haven't worn in years so am trying them on and pondering. Meanwhile OH has said I need to find better shoes than the Skechers that I wear daily. I agree but they are comfortable. The only ones I have that are nearly as comfortable is a pair of black lace up boots which are probably 20 years old. I'm fine once summer comes as I do have a variety of very comfy sandals - it's just the shoes requiring socks that are an issue.
And I've had an odd success.....I tidied up a big bag of bags of popcorn (local discount place had a box of 50 small bags for £7 ) which I bought a few months back. The big bag had been sitting underneath my painting desk (why? other than no place else to put it) and I finally got annoyed and emptied the bag and piled up all the little bags in the kitchen - which means they will get used up rather than forgotten. Lo & behold in the bottom of the big bag was £20 worth of Tasco vouchers, some various cards I normally keep in my wallet and my driving license. That last was the biggest surprise as I've been driving outside of the UK twice since buying the popcorn, so good thing I wasn't stopped! Anyways - it's proof yet again, should we need it, that keeping things neat and tidy is the best policy & somewhat profitable re the vouchers!
