It's this one Queen Jess postedapparently I'm a butterflyhugs and stuff to those having a difficult time at the moment..for anyone struggling to declutter, just remembr your stuff is not you, it's just stuff, so getting rid of it is not throwing away a part of yourself, it's just getting rid of something that's not currently useful to you.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi19

Apparently I'm a cricket. I did find some of the answers hard as none of them seemed applicable, but I think I got the right answer in the end!No decluttering to report yet today. Too much "stuff" to do and hoping to tidy up instead.2025 decluttering: 3,925🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

QueenJess said: I would really ask yourself whether you are decluttering or just organising the clutter. If the latter then it won't work. Are you really going to use it? When did you last use it? Does it make you happy? Are you happy to spend time organising it/tidying it in the future, or is there something else that is more important for you to do? There's also some interesting videos out there on what type of person you are tidying wise and whether you prefer little categories, or generic categories - try this survey: ........ It might help you work out how it's best to organise.
I'll have a look at the survey, sounds very promising, thank you! I've had to delete it, as a new member I can't post links yet, even someone else'sAiming to declutter 365 in 2023

@short_bird, very good idea, although I rarely let myself enter the hallowed Swedish portals, ends up far too expensive for meAiming to declutter 365 in 2023

Hi all, the sun is out here and I have 3 loads of washing on the line
. I also have 1 load on the maiden as it was done last night when we got home. We had a lovely time though the sat nav took us on a mystery tour, not that we got lost just loads of "I don't even know where I am" roads
I am sure there is an easier route between Liverpool and Derby but the weather was pleasant and the views were lovely and we found a nice cafe for a coffee break on the way there which we also visited on the way home as well as a lovely lady selling eggs from her free range rescue hens, ducks, turkeys and geese. Whenever we are anywhere vaguely rural we look for free range eggs as they do taste so much nicer than what you get in the shops, even allegedly free range which are not what I would call free range. I think I am allergic to goose eggs, according to my Mum who had to call out the doctor to me when I was a child and had eaten some cake she had made with a goose egg. Of course it could have been something like anti biotics that the goose had been given but I have avoided them since then. I have never had turkey eggs so we got a couple to try. In fact I have never seen turkey eggs on sale anywhere before. It's a shame she is so far away as I would make that a regular stop but 36 miles is a bit far to go for eggs though if I am ever near there it will be on my visiting list
.I will let you know what the turkey eggs are like
The hawk walk was amazing and I will try to post a couple of pics from my phone when I have finished this post
On Saturday before we left I had my b12 jab and it is helping. I also did the rounds of the bins and emptied the bathroom bin, the kitchen bin, the lr bin and the bedroom bin and recycling. When we got home last night I emptied the lr recycling and the kitchen recycling. I also submitted my meter readings that I had taken on Friday but not submitted. It was actually quite easy which was a pleasant surprise and as my smart meter is not talking to BG I will try to remember to send them in monthly, especially as they are wanting me to increase my payments again and I am resisting and hoping to keep the ch off as long as possible. It is difficult though as OH is always cold, I shall be doing it by stealth
.
Ok I have to pop to the shops to get bread and a few bits so I had better get weaving

@Craving _space if you need something to hold smallish items temporarily while you assess their keepability or otherwise, you might find fruit or mushroom punnets (free with the product!) fill the bill, rather than buying new storage items. You may be able to place the punnets inside your pretty boxes. Sorting into them could help with finding like-with-like, and you’ll be able to start assessing them.Does your local authority recycling accept small metal items like your nail clippers? Otherwise your local tip/amenity site/household waste facility most probably can take them for recycling. Have a look on your council’s website and contact them if you can’t find the answer you need.I sympathise with you about landfill guilt. I think the best you can do is recycle or send to charity shops everything you can and then use the landfill/recycling aspects as a factor when you are deciding whether and what to buy in the future. For broken things, look into Repair Cafes in your area if the item is something you’d want to keep.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Thanks @TC77, trying to keep myself occupied and focus on what I can control rather what I cannot but it is not easy going.

@-taff how much of one’s clutter is part of oneself is a difficult one: I regret throwing all my university papers away, because it is part of the story of my life, and of who I am now. I don’t expect that American Universities with be in a competitive auction for my archive 🤣 but I’m perfectly happy with a box or two of memorabilia, even if it’s not currently (or ever likely to be) useful.
@QueenJess Hello from a fellow Cricket! Lovely hawk! I’ve a friend who keeps birds of prey, and she has two of them, they’re very beautiful.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️
