@muddywalker sorry wrong end of stick by me, I would put scissors in general black bin .
Scratters if washing up is a problem try boxing up excess plates and cutlery and just keep 2 of everything out maybe? That way if you need a plate you know to wash it to use rather than get another out. Sorry if that was not the reason it got left.
hugs to all.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.14 -
@QueenJess if you don't ask a question you won't find an answer, the tupperware items will be replacing the newer plastic tubs. I really don't need 40 of them. There is only 2 of us and will stop me over producing some items and it taking too long to get through them. Although GD likes to call over with her dad and "go food shopping at grandma & grandad's"

@Liverpool_Anne re the soaps so OH thinks he has helped make a plan B, on December 1st get the winter/xmas soaps out and use them that day
it will be a win/win.
@wort it's OK thanks re the washing up tip, we only have 6 plates and cutlery to match said quantity, fortunately as the kitchen is original from 1963 when the house was built storage can be a problem - well not really as it certainly helps me keep it down! I simply was having a CBA week and had saved water too (we are metered)we both did the WUDUPA yesterday.

What with one thing and another - work and various medical appointments (& no "Sort your Life out" to motivate me) I have not much been in the mood for decluttering - but on Thurs I decided to do it anyway and made a decent amount of headway.
I've now had my post-op check for my eyes so will be able to get reading glasses which is a relief. It also means that my reasons for not doing some things - exercise, jobs around the house, thinking about travelling a bit has gone. This is all good stuff of course but I have somewhat used them as an excuse so it all feels a bit scary - I'll take it one step at a time! Today's step - a good tidy and clean.

Smear test
Post op appointment & eye test

Setting myself target of 50 things today (or weekend) as in chaos and uncertain where to start, so thought ok small drawers with papers etc.
out, 2 x dried up blu tac, some pens for DD2 to check, dried up paint brush, put charcoal in small bag as gets over papers, small papers out, couple of other things I can't remember. Booked theatre, and parent evening slots, and made notes of replacement dishwasher offered (sent me a long list but not all the right size). Sticky notes and other things like with like, stencils and geometry stuff in bag together (don't ask me why I keep) but will be tackled next time round.
Went to theatre last night and wore new to me jacket, scarf and jewellery as trying to see what I want to keep and if I only wear round the house not a good test.

Hi my friends 👋
Friday - gathered together various bits & pieces for DH after some emailing back & forth & left home about 12:00. Tubes & trains back to normal so DLR to Shadwell & overground one stop to Whitechapel which is now an enormous station due to The Elizabeth Line. Got to DH’s room about 13:15. He is definitely looking & feeling fine but no nearer a diagnosis. We chatted for a couple of hours & then he was moved to a slightly smaller room but still on A&E. I stayed until 16:45 when DH sent me home as I was nodding off. Home by 17:30. The hm soup that DH made is delicious - ended up having 2 bowls. DSis had to fend for herself 😔 I nodded off/slept on the sofa & only vaguely remember what was on the TV. DH has been moved to a ward in the main hospital which I think means he is now negative for Covid 🥳 Crawled up the stairs & went to bed.
Saturday I heard my alarm & roused myself long enough for a bathroom visit & to notice & read an email from DH sent at 06:22. I started to reply but fell asleep 😉 Finally woke up 10:40, put dressing gown on & replied to DH. I am now drinking my first cuppa. Not to complain, but I am utterly exhausted probably mostly relief although of course I am still worrying as no diagnosis has been made. Apparently DH’s condition/symptoms are a bit of a puzzle 😉
Thank you again for all your kind wishes, hugs & support, you are keeping me going 😊
I will see you all later but meanwhile keep up the great decluttering work 👏

Sorry to hear about MrSD. Positive vibes and big hugs in the hope of a speedy recovery.
Cute Bunnies @Florenceem
Congrats on the biopsies @GrannyKate. What a relief.
Popping in to report a sorting out if the deliver of stuff from Monday. 3 bags of in and outs gone, 1 box and 1 bag in the loft for Christmas donations and a final bag of medical stuff to go to my friend who will deliver it to a hospital or clinic on her next trip to Africa.
I am spending about 15 minutes every other day sorting photos, mostly to the bin.
Yesterday DH and DS1 cleared a big frog. We had started building a bespoke swing at DS1s house for GS3 but it got delayed for various reasons. I baby sat while the boys did the job. All now complete with a thumbs up from DiL who is generally very fussy.
Also did a few hours of proper work on the allotment for the first time in months with DS2's assistance.
We are all tired so had a lie in today and the cs this afternoon. Doing well with not buying at the charity shops. I have everything I will ever need and in excess so unless it is for a specific person I think the cs boat has sailed.
