retiredinfrance - Mrs SD thanks for my gold star !@EnergyShifter- it’s fine to be ridiculously pleased with oneself - in fact everyone should be ridiculously pleased much more often. Sometimes just getting to the end of the day is enough.

Mrs SD, glad to hear Mr SD is being sensible and enjoy hearing about his trips. I've just got my free oyster so when I have time intend exploring more!
My work email was hacked so managed to get a list of who the rogue email purporting to be from me went to and spent about 7 hours until 11 last night and early this morning emailing and warning people not to open the attachmentvery behind now.
Did sell 2 items from dad's and posted and packaged but we are still scratching the surface . Lovely man from a book shop we found in Bedford but has a special science dept (and we have hundreds of science mainly physics books) phoned me to say interested in a few of these but also literature. And we found his sister lives quite near my dad's house so he will come round and have a look at what he may take and give advice on the others. The 20 years of American physics journals and similar are not old enough (60s/70s) and not recent enough for them so thinking about what to do ... have seen some on f/bay. All excellent condition (unlike mine) so feels a way forward probably next month.
Vulpix , take care and sounds like you are doing so much... as are others, I have read some but not all posts but will do later, and also add my nos. Several frogs done, moved direct debits, closed an account, rung jury service about summoning my dad, alot of time spent helping DD1 flat hunt, lots of viewings arranged the day after they go online, only to be cancelled as someone offered to rent on basis of a video! Odd world.
Take care all, the TLC carriage expands as needed14 -
Still haven’t got my chair back……🤨
Weenancy I used to live near Amersham ages ago. It’s a beautiful area and from what I remember was very quaint….and hideously expensive! My old stamping ground was a place called Wendover where the RAF had a training camp at RAF Halton. On the way into the village from the camp was a row of cottages given to one of his wives from Henry VIII but I can’t remember which one.
Mrs SD I belong to a FB group called “walk 1000 miles” and they are a lovely lovely group so if hubby decides to keep going he’d be in very good company! I managed 500 miles last year but am used to doing well over 1200….then lockdown happened and then my illness was diagnosed.Gonna spend a bit of time in the TLC carriage with cake, a good book and dog snuggles. Take care all xxx⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Went a bit crazy with the emails this evening and found so many to delete that I've already reached my gold target! Just shows that there is always something to get rid of. good news about your OH @Liverpool_Anne
I am indeed still in touch with MrPiano @Mrs_Salad_Dodger but not so often. I am though just as much in touch with DrM and just as much not getting anywhere romantically 🤣

Hi all, no decluttering done today. I spent most of the day with ex line manager who I was pleased to see has come back from the cliff edge and is looking for a new job, has an interview next Friday. We had lots of discussions about thinking things through before jumping and making time to distress instead of working non stop. He accepts that he's not good at doing that. We were going to go for a walk but the weather was against us, lots of wind and hail stones, plus he doesn't seem to have a proper winter coat! The time passed quickly though as chatted about all sorts of things. Quite tired when I got home as there had been an accident on the Mway so the journey took a lot longer than it should have and I called into OHs house to check all was ok and pick up the post. After tea I just did some crochet and watched some tv
.
I have caught up with all the posts but my brain is on strike atm so hugs to all who would like one
Take care everyone
Still 530/2023, must do better13 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Dinner was a shop bought chicken pie with mash & mixed vegetables. Not much filling but tasty. Wudupa.
Transcribed my lists of contents of the under sink cupboard & the lower larder, into my Notebook.
812 - 816 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging, pamphlets, plastic bottle, bag of recycling from DSis - recycled
817 - 819 Kitchen, lr & office detritus - binned
Floss, I think you might right - easier for SD to see the contents if they are all out of the cupboards, drawers etc 😉
Florenceem, well done on taking a day to craft + rest in preparation for a busy Wednesday at SA 😊Now that test kits are no longer free to all, I am wondering how many people have Covid & are just chalking up their symptoms to a heavy cold, flu or the current bug that is doing the rounds 😔
Well done on decluttering your dental check up EnergyShifter 🙂 I take it no action required 😮💨
TC77, it is a relief that DH is being sensible with his walking challenge 🙂 Not only means that I am happier letting him continue but also he is enjoying his expeditions more 😊 I keep intending to use my free Oystercard more but haven’t quite got around to it yet 😉 What a nightmare having your work email hacked 👿 I would have thought that your employer’s IT department should have contacted all the recipients of the ‘rogue/malicious’ email rather than leaving it to you to worry & deal with it. I trust that they have now put stronger firewalls in place 🤞Well done on selling a couple of your dad’s items & also on finding someone to take at least some of the science books 👏 Excellent work dealing with frogs & financial matters 👏 Seems a really odd way to conduct the business of renting out a flat 🙄 I will keep everything crossed that the flat hunting is successful 🤞
Muddy_Walker, I was hoping that the wind blew the other way & returned your chair 😉 Lovely memories of Amersham 😊 Thanks for the information about the Walking Club although DH is not a joiner ☹️ However, I believe his intention is to continue with the walking after the 31st but probably only 5 or 6 thousand steps a day 😉 Enjoy your time in the TLC Carriage 😊
vulpix, I love that “nurturing an easy life” 😊
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏
Wow QueenJess, that is a lot of emails 🤩 👏 Congratulations on getting your 🥇 Good luck reaching your next award 🍀
DundeeDoll, I always enjoy reading about DrM, all I can think is that you are too much woman for him 😉 Excellent use of your 23 minutes 👏
Liverpool_Anne, so pleased to hear that your friend is back on an even keel 😊 Wishing him luck on his interview 🍀
Good night one & all 😊

@weenancyinAmerica and Mrs SD - sister does have lots of friends locally who are helping out. She took dog to Doggydaycare yesterday as she gets lots of fun and exercise there. She is starting to feel a lot better.
Unfortunately opticians proved expensive and new glasses have had to be ordered and paid for. Double ouch. Need to get on with some tidying today. I belong to a walking group - only 2-3 miles and gentle hills only. I can't go to todays as I have school run to do.
408 Opticians ticked off to do list and money decluttered
409 Plastics dropped off at Mr T
410 Ten items in ten minutes rounded up and put away.
411 Downloaded the death certificate which I ordered - confirmed exact date, place and cause of death. I had hoped informant might be somebody different bit it wasn't.
412 Corrections made to section of family tree as I realised something didn't make sense. New research gave me correct info.2025 Decluttering Campaign 665/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
